    I think this would be a valuable improvement. There are legitimate situations where a user wants the kill switch to remain enabled while allowing only a few trusted exceptions. I have seen a website https://theppciine.com.br where they applied it & most importantly flexible implementation could include:

    App-based split tunneling.
    Hostname or domain-based exceptions.
    Specific IP address exclusions.
    Local network device access while keeping internet traffic protected.
    Clear indicators showing which traffic bypasses the VPN.

    This would provide much more flexibility without compromising the primary purpose of the kill switch.

    We really need this - it is ridiculous that we don't have a version of Proton app on the actual privacy focused OS yet
