I am publishing this because I noticed that the same idea taken under examination has been in that state since 2015, and since it hasn't been implemented I want to give it a more recent try.
Drive folders that can be hidden or locked with a password, PIN, or even better a passkey for more sensitive photos or files, making it harder for third party individuals to open them if they somehow get access to our devices. And don't forget to hide or lock them even when they are shared by and with you.
