Albums as 'views' of photos already in Proton Drive
I use Proton Drive as the '1' (offsite, cloud) in a '3-2-1' data security setup. This photos folder is already highly structured and synced with my NAS (which is presently a cumbersome process since you can't sync directly from NAS but must go through a windows folder ... that's another issue). Creating 'Albums' is merely creating 'Views' of these photos which should allow freedom to use that existing structure, create a different structure, and select which photos to include in each album. Treating albums as convenient ways to casually share photos might benefit from an option to downscale high resolution images to minimize mobile resources when viewing photos or playing a 'slideshow' (with a storage penalty of storing an additional low res version of the photo). Bottom line: separate the concerns of 1) Managing a photo library / backup storage as a backend 2) Creating Albums & Slideshows as a frontend as an artistic and social endeavour, with many good examples in the market as to what could be done
