I need a way to find files in my Proton Drive, mostly by name but sometimes by date (between) or by file type.

Allow photo album ordering based on actual photo EXIF date or by album title
Right now I cant reorder my albums. Now they are in LIFO mode (last in first out) which means that If I have album from year 2024 an then I upload photos from 2007 (takeout from Google Photos) this album from 2007 will be in my list higher then the 2024. Enable order by title names (so I can put into title name year) or by photo EXIFs to do it automatically for me.

Favouriting/bookmarking specific folders to quickly access from a dashboard/homepage (mobile app)
At current, the Proton mobile app is very lacking in features that made its competitors much more useful. One such feature is the ability to bookmark specific folders saved in the Drive that can be quickly accessed from the first screen you are presented with when opening the app.
At the moment, when navigating through file folders in the app, it seems like half the folders don't even seem to load. I do not know why this happens, but it's persisted through multiple devices running the latest version of the app, and it makes getting to frequently sought-for folders frustrating…3 votes -
Open and edit files directly in the mobile app (Android)
Unfortunately, the Proton Drive Android app is pretty useless.
It's essential that you can also edit files with it.
When a file is opened (e.g., DOCX, XLSX, ODT, ODS, etc.), a suitable installed app should open to view and edit the file. When a change is saved, it should then be synchronized with Drive.This is how Google Drive and Nextcloud do it. I'm actually shocked that this doesn't work with ProtonDrive.

Detail view of Photo Albums
Please allow for a "details" (list) view of Photo albumns. In web view, currently, each album shows a square with an album main photo. I have many albums and would like to just see a list. Thank you.

Proton Sheets - Create dedicated apps
It would be great if we had dedicated apps to see and edit our Proton Docs and sheets, just like Microsoft Excel and Google Sheets.

Convert folders with pictures to albums
Instead of having to manually select photos and then add them to an album, just move a folder's files that are pictures to an album on the photo side of proton drive

Improve photo management
I’m confident that this would be extremely helpful for everyone having the option to view all photos in the Proton Drive as a single folder. This would automatically make it possible to sync photos with a computer. For this to work, albums would need to be represented as a folder structure.
Advantage:
You can manage your photos on your computer very easily (searching, deleting, editing, sorting into albums, etc.).
In my opinion, implementing this feature would not be very time‑consuming, since many of the required functions already exist.7 votes -
External requests and scripting in Proton Sheets
Really happy with sheets so far, thank you proton team!
One thing that would make me switch is appsscript like functionality, at least, someway to programmatically update cells (using timer or on-open, or e.g. via button). It also needs to make external requests so external data can be loaded into it.

app specific password for programatic drive access
I am using MFA to access Proton services.
I am testing Proton Drive as a backup solution, using rclone to send nightly deltas of a folder to the drive. This needs MFA, though, so it breaks after a while.
Could you add app-specific--passwords so that this can be achieved, without using MFA for this, but still keeping MFA for normal access?Thank you.

Protect Files on Proton Drive Desktop app
Because of the highly secure Proton ecosystem, I want to use Proton Drive to store sensitive information.
At the moment, ALL files and folders uploaded to Proton Drive show on the Proton Drive Desktop app, so anyone having access to the computer can see the files (access to hardware is nowhere nearly as secure as access to Proton Drive on the Web), which defeats the whole purpose and main competitive advantage of using Proton Drive.
Please consider a feature allowing to protect selected files or folders in the Proton Drive, so access to sensitive files/folders is restricted.

Add Recycle bin in Proton Drive app
Adding a Recycle bin shortcut in the Proton Drive app would be great, and would avoid to have to go on web version to manually empty the recycle.

Allow to Only Sync Selected Folders
Similar to Dropbox, it would be great if I could keep only a few folders in sync locally. In other words, if I have 20 folders in Proton Drive, I only want to have 5 of those folders on my Mac; the others can be online-only.

Support downloading native Proton Docs through the Proton Drive CLI
The new Proton Drive CLI is great. The ability to programmatically upload and download documents is excellent.
Being able to download native Proton Docs as ODF/MD/DOCX would provide even more benefit, allowing users to essentially use the "Download" functionality that is already available for native Proton Drive docs from the CLI.

Allow download of Photos via Proton Drive Windows app
For photos that are stored in Proton Drive allow these to be downloaded via the Proton Drive Windows app and made available offline. This will allow me to store a copy of my phones on my PC.

Exemple d'usage :
J'ai créé l'album "Randonnées Alpes 2024" avec 150 photos.
J'ai 400 photos total dans cette période.
