Proton Drive in-app Editor & Viewer
Hey everyone,
I've just have an idea for the entire Proton Drive application for (at least) Windows. If you added a folder or Files, you might be already known, that you can't edit or view the staff inside the Drive App.
So, for example; you've just added or created a .txt or somethings, you have to press on the "folder name" e.g. "My Files", and then it open the File explorer of Windows, probably as well on Linux and Mac but i don't know. So, it would be great to view some files like .txt or some other staffs like…

Upload selection of photos to Drive Photos (iOS)
In the Drive iOS app, I can only sync my entire photos library with Proton Drive Photos. I would like to be able to upload selected photos instead.
In the upper right corner of the web app, there’s the ”+ upload photos” link. But this is not there in the iOS app. The workaround for now is to exit the iOS app and upload photos via web.

Sheets - Add VSTACK and HSTACK Functions
What the title says. These are standard functions in Excel and Google Sheets.

Album - add photos directly from Android
Just like it already is in the browser.
Sometimes backing up is not enough when there are next folders or when photos have been edited.13 votes -

Being able to share files or folders directly from Finder, just as we can already refresh or view a file or folder online with a right-click.

Shortcut to move a bullet point up or down in Proton Docs
It would be nice to have a shortcut to move a bullet point up or down in Proton Docs. Similarly to the shortcuts in WPS Office on macOS. With Options+Shift+Up Arrow you can move a bullet point up and with Options+Shift+Down Arrow you can move a bullet point down. I think there is a similar shortcut in Microsoft Word.

Proton Drive meets Git
HiDrive allows turning folders into Git repositories, which is very helpful. It would be great to see a similar feature in Proton Drive — the ability to initialise Git repositories inside folders, with basic access via HTTPS/SSH. This would make Proton Drive even more useful for developers and advanced users.

When viewing photos and videos, display icons for delete, favorites, info, map, etc. at the bottom, in the mode where the file name is displayed at the top.

Allow for altering Documents inside Drive app
Right now I'm having to go to the web page to access Proton Docs to edit them. Strange there's no way to edit Docs from within Proton Drive, and there's no download for a Proton Docs app.

Notes and Memo related
I think there should be a feature for text notes and memo in drive or seperate app. It would be very helpful, if it existed.

Sheets: Icon Set Conditional Formatting
In Excel, there is an option to use icons for conditional formatting: either beside the cell data or instead of the cell data. For example, I can have a row where the cell values are the difference between numbers in two other cells, and then instead of displaying that number, I can display one of three icons based on where that difference number is in a range. It's a great feature for dashboards.
I would be willing to settle for better color range formatting as a stop-gap. It seems unpredictable right now.

Preserve albums from device
I backup my photos from my phone onto Proton Drive. However, the albums that the photos are in on my phone are not preserved on Proton Drive. Instead, they are just dumped into one place. This, unfortunately, makes the photos pretty much unusable, because they are a nightmare to look through all mixed up.
I already have placed my photos into sensible albums on my phone. I should not have to redo that on Proton Drive. Without this feature, I have to use another service for photo backups.

HTML preview
I would like to see an actual page of the HTML file I have on my disk instead of code when opening it in a browser, and nothing when opening it from an Android app.

Notion-Like Document Editor (including databases)
Situation:
Docs an Sheets are awesome, but they are quite slow and fail to capture memo-like or dynamic-structured content. Both are basically printing formats.
Problems (some):
- UI is slow in general. Loading time is very slow.
- Sheets doesn't support views of a sheet. So you always have to look at all the data (yes, there are clumsy workarounds).
- Sheets handles linebreaks, text overflow, column datatypes not well (because it's not supposed to, I think)
- Docs always shows allSuggestion:
- Provide a document (format) for a Notion-like editor.
- Support databases like notion does (not inter-document…2 votes -
Automatic Substitute Feature
A feature where we can manually add substitutions. For example, I like to use em dashes in my writing (—) but it's difficult to do on my regular keyboard, so I used the substitute feature in the other docs I use to automatically substitute "--" to "—" and use it with other things, too, like adding accented letters automatically onto names (turning eon to éon for example). I know there are keyboards out there that can do it, but I've never been able to find one that works conveniently enough for my writing, and this is a relatively minor but…

make Proton Photos reachable from Mac file browser (Finder)
It's already possible to access to the files stored in the area "My files" in the Proton Drive from the Mac file browser (finder), however the photos stored in "Photos" are not reachable from the Finder, therefore it's not possible to work on the images with an editor software without having to download the file from the drive first.

Archive photos on the Library function of Proton Drive
Is a killer feature for my use case and it's the possibility of selecting a photo and send it to a separate album called Archive that hides it from my photos timeline to keep private when I'm sharing my gallery to others.
I could access the Archive with a separate password or also just reusing FaceID or any other authentication method.

Colab
I observed that some universities across Europe relays only on Google Colab to make, test, synch, share code during their classrooms.
The idea is to have some kind of interface, similar to what google does, to be able to develop code, test it's functionalities, store sources at drive (text based files), and even better if Lumo can help developing code as Gemini does.
Having such a tool can be a good argument to induce EU agents to switch from their current US based big techs providers, to a secure development platform, thinking in necessary privacy for research and investigation topics.
