1. Lumo integration with Proton Meet for accessibility (live auto-captions)

   Perhaps Lumo could be used in Meet to provide live captioning for hard of hearing/Deaf folks to be able to follow along.

   Having a meeting platform that is a) affordable/free b) accessible and c) privacy-minded would be incredible. I haven't found a single platform that meets all of those criteria well, and if you make this happen, you would be giving the world a gift. Thanks!

2. Integrated Notebook with Offline/Online Toggle & Nested Folder Structure

   Description: While existing requests cover "Offline Chat Access" and "Project Folders," I need a dedicated Integrated Notebook feature to permanently capture, organize, and secure specific insights extracted from our conversations. Currently, valuable information gets lost in endless scrolling or requires exporting to external tools.

   I request a native Notebook within Lumo with the following capabilities:

   1. Seamless Capture from Chat

   • Highlight any message or paragraph in a chat and instantly "Save to Notebook."

   • Saved notes become standalone, editable entries but retain a link back to the original conversation for context.

   1. User-Controlled Privacy (Offline vs. Online Toggle)

   • Crucial Feature: Users must be able to choose per note whether it is stored Offline-only (local device storage, zero-cloud access) or Online (synced across devices via Proton's secure infrastructure).

   • This allows for maximum privacy for sensitive data (health logs, personal journals) while keeping collaborative notes synced. Existing "Offline Chat" proposals do not offer this granular control per item.

   1. Robust Organization (Nested Folders)

   • Folder Structure: Create nested folders and subfolders (e.g., "Health > Silver", "Writing > Drafts", "Politics > Analysis").

   • Unlike simple project folders for chats, this allows for a hierarchical knowledge base where users can organize thoughts logically, not just chronologically.

   • Tags & Search: Add custom tags to notes and search across all notebooks instantly.

   Why this matters: This transforms Lumo from a transient chat tool into a permanent, structured, and private "second brain." The ability to toggle between offline and online storage ensures that users can keep their most sensitive data completely isolated on their device while still benefiting from cloud sync for less critical information. Combined with nested folder structures, this provides the organization power needed for complex, long-term projects without leaving the Proton ecosystem.

   Technical Feasibility: Leverages existing Proton local storage capabilities (similar to Proton Drive's offline mode) and integrates them directly into the chat UI, using the same encryption standards.

3. Better transparency for Lumo answer - Show Groundedness, Factuality score per answer

   Proton Lumo AI should not only be private, but also fair and transparent about its answers.
   I propose adding simply statistics to each answer derived from the metadata that is already present. E.g. a single bar going from green to red that show the likelihood of an answer being well founded (groundedness score) or something similar to a F1 score. In my opinion this matches the transparency that Proton is providing for all its products. Similar to how Proton uses Open Source code, it should also aim for maximum transparency of Lumo AI answers. This makes Lumo even better than it already is. I know I can ask Lumo to provide these statistics to me, but to make it visual using one or two metrices would be much more intuitive to work with and would make Lumo fit even better with Protons product ethics.

4. : Add Read Aloud / Text-to-Speech Button for Responses

   I would like to request a "Read Aloud" button feature for Lumo AI responses. This would allow users to have my replies spoken aloud using text-to-speech.

   Why this would be helpful:

   Great for listening to content while relaxing, resting, or preparing for sleep
   Helpful for accessibility needs (visual impairments or difficulty reading on screen)
   Useful for multitasking when hands are busy but ears are free
   Perfect for consuming longer content like stories, summaries, or articles without staring at a screen
   Suggested implementation:

   Ability to pause, resume, and adjust playback speed

5. Lumo and big projects

   Lumo + big projects - when working inside the project, all of the files added should be added to the project, not to the chat. I have a very large self reference files that when added imediately consume 1/2 od the available tokens.
   There should also exist an option to share a local directory with all the files needed so they don't use space in the chat.

   This is an additional business model leveraging Lumo and fixing a known severe privacy vulnerability.
   1. Establish a genuine Proton Law firm with actual bar approved lawyers/counselors, etc.
   2. Offer legal insurance subscription the provides some level of support from this actual staff of certified humans.
   3. Provide this access by leveraging Lumo as an incoming customer screening system to help customers get to the right lawyer.
   4. As part of the screening system, leverage Lumo as a law library regerence for incoming customers to properly identify the appropriate human legal certfied legal specialist for their issues.
   5. PROTECT ALL LUMO CALL SCREENING EXCHANGES AS PRIVILEGED AND GENERALLY NOT SUBJECT TO SUBPOENA. RETAIN ONLY ENCRYPTED INFORMATION WITH KEY BELONGING TO THE CUSTOMER WHO MAY DELETE IT AT WILL.
   6. Start with firms in the US and EU.

8. Liquid Glass Integration iOS 26 Lumo App

   Liquid Glass integration would make the already pretty Lumo iOS 26 application look top-notch and even better than it already does. I’m pitching the benefits of it in an upcoming document to them but I’ve seen how Liquid Glass looks on apps already and if it could be implemented into the Lumo App on iOS you are already another step in the door towards becoming one of the top AI assistants in the Apple App Store by implementing this and the respective “visual flair” that it provides. This would make the app HIGHLY polished — more so than it already is.

9. Direct save of chats as Docs on Drive (+ Lumo-folder on Drive?)

   Integration between Lumo and Docs to allow Lumo users to save chats as Docs on Drive, directly from Lumo.

   Purpose: to ease UX of organising projects in Lumo and save time and effort for users.
   Value:
   1) Nudging users to support their own data security, by not using alternative tools outside of Proton Suite.
   2) Supporting user loyalty to Proton product suite, especially Lumo.

   User scenario:
   After finishing chat with lumo I press the "save as docs"-button next to "copy" and "try again features" in the bottom right corner of the screen. Dialog opens and asks: "Do you want to save this chat as a doc?" Possibillities: "Yes/No". I press "Yes" and Docs opens with the current chat content, ready to be named and saved. When named and saved in a folder of my choice in my Drive, I can upload it to my relevant folder in Lumo Projects.

   Or:
   After finishing chat with lumo I press the "save as Docs"-button next to "copy" and "try again features" in the bottom right corner of the screen. Chat is named (by Lumo as usual) and saved as doc in dedicated Lumo-folder on my Drive. Dialog opens in Lumo: "I have saved the chat as a doc in your Lumo folder on Drive. Do you want me to upload it to your Lumo Project folder X?" (the chat being an x-topic) I can answer "Yes/No" depending on, whether I want this or not.

   This is just from the top of my head, so please be critical about unnecessary complexity, best data flows and architectural robustness and scalability

10. Lumo Conversation Bookmarks

    I often have long conversations with Lumo and weeks or months later need to refer to just a section of that conversation. I know there is a search feature, but I'd like to be able to place a bookmark at a specific point of a conversation instead of conducting a keyword search across all conversations.

    For example, I'm using Lumo for development and had some ideas for future features that I can't get to right now, and I need to keep the conversation on track. Six months from now, I'd like to quickly jump back to the part of the conversation that discussed these features.

11. Add Text-to-Speech and Voice Input

    I am enjoying interacting with Lumo so far and I am wanting to switch to Lumo from Gemini as my main AI. I really like the privacy and being able to see its thoughts. I would like to see some voice interaction in the future if possible. It would make it much easier for me to switch over and interact with Lumo. Perhaps a few different voice options and pacing would work well. Thank you!

    While browser shortcuts like Ctrl+F can search the currently visible text, they lack integration and advanced features needed for long conversations. I request a dedicated "Search in this chat" function built directly into the Lumo interface.

13. Speech-to-text (use mic for desktop version)

    To dictate vague ideas and concepts while your browser captures the stream of thoughts is a real time saver and I feel enhances the experience of collaborating with the AI agent. I would really like to use my Mic with the desktop version of Lumo.

14. Text size adjustments

    Implement an option in settings to make the text bigger in the mobile apps. Specifically IOS. Global text size adjustment has no affect on the Lumo application. Results are too small. Needs to be more clear like ChatGPT for example.

    Please allow us to import chat history from other big commercial cloud hosted LLMs to ease transition and not lose all the information prior LLMs gleaned from us, what we are doing, what is important to us, etc.

16. Automatically save chat responses to a document

    In my view, Lumo 2.0 should prioritize its core strengths—leveraging the scientific and technical expertise behind Proton's mission—rather than focusing heavily on image generation. Image creation requires significant financial investment, and many established competitors already serve this market extensively. While I understand there may be legitimate privacy concerns around processing images, it seems the choice to pursue image generation was driven by market trends in AI rather than staying true to the scientific and educational purpose for which Proton was originally founded. My suggestion would be to refocus development resources toward those foundational goals where Proton has unique value and differentiation. For example;

    Background:
    I am deciding at this time who to invest my time, information and money for ai services. I see the benefits of Claude and its ability of Coworker.
    What’s my issue.
    I want to use Lumo for my personal & business for knowledge management with Projects and Drive integration. Currently:
    index works beautifully, but saving responses requires manual copy/paste/upload.

    Requested Feature:
    Automatically save chat responses to a documents name it and to assign to Project folder I’m working in, into the Proton Drive,
    then index those files for future context retrieval without loading full conversation history.

    Thank you for your Suite, I have subscribed for mainly the vpn but have unlimited subscription. I don’t use extensively because the offering is still a bit raw. No sheet app for example or document app. So just waiting.

    Add a "Report Language Error" button in the Lumo chat interface that lets users flag language issues directly. After clicking, users choose a category:

    Strict — Pure nonsense/incorrect term. Generates a corrected, academically accurate response.

    Synonym — Suggest an alternative word/phrase and context where it fits better. Helps Lumo understand nuance, register and topic-specific synonyms.

    Humoristic — Witty alternatives and wordplay. Helps Lumo learn humor and puns in the local language (especially useful for users with a "Casual/Cheeky" Lumo personality).

    This feeds into Proton's language improvement pipeline, helping Lumo and Scribe produce more natural, localized output — especially for smaller languages like Norwegian, Danish, Swedish and Finish.

    Use case: When Lumo says "hundkur" instead of "hundkoja," the user flags it as Strict. When Lumo misses a pun opportunity, the user flags it as Humoristic — and Lumo gets funnier over time.

Lumo looks great and works incredibly well!I would love to share a small feature request that would highly benefit technical users like myself. 20. Write permissions for Lumo to share infos between projects

    I’ve created several projects in which I work on different topics using specialized Lumos.

    I also have a general chat outside of the projects that I use for general questions, journals, small talk, or brainstorming. However, this general Lumo doesn’t know what’s going on in the projects because they’re isolated from one another.
    While brainstorming, I had the idea that it would be really handy if Lumo had a dedicated folder with write access in Drive where it could create files to share with the projects. For example, summaries when a project is successfully completed or updates on its current status.

    This way, you could create a Project Manager Lumo that can communicate with the project-specific Lumos via the files it creates in this directory and vice versa.

    You could then simply brainstorm with your Project Manager Lumo, create to-do lists, and discuss ideas that the specialized Lumos in the projects could pick up on directly, without having to explain them again and they could write summaries for the project manager, when a project is finished.
