Clean layout
Current layout is childish and over-designed, and takes up way too much of the available screen. Please give us an option to cleanup the layout of Lumo.

Genuine privacy like private relay
Create a system similar to Apple Private Relay, where requests are sent to Lumo through two separate and secure internet relays.
This will provide genuine privacy.
The first relay should be hosted by Proton and should know the user’s IP address — but not the request itself.
The second relay should be hosted by an organization other than Proton. This relay should know the request and forward it to Lumo — but must not know the user’s IP address.
Have a third party audit the entire setup.

Dynamically load files from Proton Drive folder instead of file upload
Please offer the option to point to a folder on Proton Drive. That would be much more flexible instead of uploading new files each time.

Lumo is great at Math, but bad at Latex!
I am finding that Lumo is shockingly good at the type of math I do, professionally.
I am seriously thinking about buying the Lumo+ extension. However it is very frustrating, at times, by the way it handles Latex in its answers.
1) Sometime the latex expression is not properly displayed as math, but just as a bunch of code. The latter is of course hard(er) to parse.
2) When asked to produce latex code, the output is often buggy and contains nonstandard unicode symbols. It rarely compiles out of the box.
3) When asked to produce small latex code (to…

Implement Screen Reader Accessibility Improvements in the Lumo Web and iOS Apps
As a Lumo user who relies on screen reader technology to access my iPhone, I have several suggestions that would make the Lumo app significantly easier for low vision folks to use. Because it seems the web version of Lumo behaves pretty similarly to the iOS app, I'll focus on the iOS app but do consider these same suggestions for the web app, as well.
Make prompts and responses into single focusable blocks
For an example of this, turn on the VoiceOver screen reader in iOS and observe how it behaves in the Facebook iOS app news feed. Although a…

Add Kimi K2 thinking

Hi! would make sense to have it as a main OSS model as it is the SoA (the most "intelligent" one that is also open source!)

Train Lumo to understand the user interface
Lumo doesn't understand how to communicate through the User Interface very well. It should be trained. Lumo said that the character limit for a single response was about 4000 to 6000 characters. It should know the actual number and be able to feedback to the user that the limit was hit instead of indicating that it will try to better next time (it won't, the UI has a hard limit). When trying to get Lumo to format a list, it is like working with a teenager, it doesn't do what you want and says it will try to better next…

iOS Widget: Please bring back the cat!
The latest update changed the look and feature of the iOS Widget. It now suggests actions and shows a text instead of Lumo the cat like before.
I really liked seeing Lumo on my Homescreen. Please bring him/her/it/they back!5 votes -
Lumo User Interface indicate percentage of output limit when responding
Lumo has a maximum character limit for a single response (according to Lumo). I would like to know how much of that limit I am using when asking for a response. Currently Lumo simply fails without warning and it's difficult to see what is going on. I find it interesting that Lumo didn't actually know the limit either, it gave a range. When I started asking Lumo more pointed questions it kept stopping partway through the output it responded:
You are absolutely right to notice that pattern! The problem is not with your request or my memory, but with the…

Support for bigger Files
I’m reaching out to request an increase in the maximum file‑upload size.
The current limit is insufficient for several upcoming projects that involve large assets such as high‑resolution media files, data sets, and compiled binaries.5 votes -

Lumo automatic chart resizing
In a Lumo conversations, charts right columns don't always allow users to read everything in the rectangle.
Often, users have to scroll right to see all the text and data it contains.
It can cause some friction when using a regular mouse and an external keyboard without a trackpad. If would be nice if Lumo could resize the content so everything reads in a chart without having to scroll right.

Accept all text files, independently of their extension name.
Lumo is able to read and understand many text-based files (LaTeX, json, python, etc...). However, only .txt files can be uploaded (files without .txt extension name are refused). It would be nice to accept a larger set of file, as Lumo is able to read them once renamed with a .txt. Lumo shall be able to recognize them correctly, without enforcing in the chat was format is intended to be the submitted file.

It would be interesting to be able to buy a single month of Lumo services, instead of a full year.
I would buy individual months at certain times of the year. The whole year is too much for me.

Personas
A fantastic feature is "Personas", which already exist in GPT-5 or CoPilot. In my opinion, personas should be permanently stored beyond a conversation. For example, with the term "Remember that Eva, my team assistant, makes suggestions to me about stakeholder management for my customer base and does the LinkedIn analysis. This would enable me to continuously expand an AI assistant and my knowledge management.
I have asked Lumo+, but Lumo+ can only remember my requests or orders within a conversation. Or is there another way to set different personas?
Keep up the good work, Lumo+ is great fun and the…7 votes -
Multiple Personalities - more control & community templates
Currently, under the 'Personalization' you can create ONE personality per user. Depending on my task at hand I need more control over the expected output. As currently there is not really a good way to configure the expected outcome. (e.g. how 'creative' the model can be or how strict it needs to adhere to the input).
This feature would also really benefit from (community) templates which must be editable for better control.

Fair Monthly Pricing
Fair Monthly Pricing
Title: Offer competitively priced monthly-only options for add-ons (Lumo Plus, Meet Professional) without punitive markups
Body:
Users with sporadic needs — such as using Lumo Plus for a few intense workdays or Meet Professional for a rare large meeting — are currently penalized by the pricing structure.
While annual plans offer a discount, they force a 12-month commitment for services that may only be needed for a few days. Monthly plans exist, but they often carry a significant premium compared to the monthly equivalent of the annual rate. This creates a "flexibility tax" that discourages users from…

Prorated Cash Refunds
Post 2: Prorated Cash Refunds
Title: Offer prorated cash refunds (not just account credit) when cancelling annual add-ons mid-cycle
Body:
Currently, if a user cancels an annual add-on subscription (such as Lumo Plus or Meet Professional) partway through the billing year, Proton issues a prorated refund only as account credit, not as a return of funds to the original payment method.
This policy effectively locks the user's money into the Proton ecosystem, even when they no longer wish to use the service. It forces users to either:

Pause Functionality
Post 1: Pause Functionality
Title: Introduce a "Pause" option for add-on subscriptions (Lumo Plus, Meet Professional)
Body:
Many users need add-on services like Lumo Plus or Meet Professional only intermittently — perhaps a few days of intensive AI assistance, or one or two large meetings per year. Currently, the only option is to fully cancel the subscription and re-subscribe later.
This creates an unnecessary dilemma:
Keep the subscription active and pay for months of non-use, or Cancel and re-subscribe each time, which is inconvenient and risks forgetting to activate it when needed.A simple "Pause subscription" feature — allowing users…
