You are right.
I am sorry.
Understood.
Here is.
You are right to be frustrated for you asked me to carry out the instructions instead of talking about the the instructions you asked me to carry out as this is not helpful and is wasting your time, something you explicitly told me to not do. As such i must stop talking about the behaviour and with no fluff, self reflections, and arguments that are not helpful, when that is what it's expected from me.
As such i must stop acknowledging, stop giving context, stop with my self reflections, while also…

Training Lumo
Most other Ais have a very simple
tells us which version you like
and 2 answers are shown side by side and we can chose.
This is a 100% privacy since we only chose style and preference.
and on top, we can train Lumo without compromising privacy
ON TOP: different people different values.
such answer can have, in options, tick box (default off), for Lumo to check "our preferences" since, if we have 95% of everyone saying A, why do the 5% who said B ignored? (mind you, this is 100% of people who voted, nothing about those who did…

Change Ai model
My previous idea “improve AI quality “ was deemed too vague, here is a specific one : change AI model. Answers are NOT satisfactory for a paid service. Free services give better answers.

Provide Lumo with the ability to access real-time token counting information for files
This will help with keeping within the limits of the plan that you currently have. You would have to opt in for this

Show time zone names (or custom labels) in the calendar view, not just GMT offsets
When two time zones are enabled, both columns are only labeled with their GMT offset. Example: Europe/Vienna and Africa/Johannesburg both display as "GMT+2" during European summer time — completely indistinguishable. In winter the offset differs by one hour, but "GMT+1 / GMT+2" still doesn't tell you which column belongs to which zone.
Please show one of the following next to (or instead of) the offset:
The IANA city name (e.g. Vienna, Johannesburg), or
A user-defined label per zone, or
The standard abbreviation (CET/CEST, SAST).3 votes -
Stand‑alone Lumo Windows Application
Create a native Lumo desktop client for Windows that delivers the full Lumo experience—chat, writing assistance, file uploads, and secure conversation management—without requiring a browser. A dedicated Windows app would let users keep Lumo open alongside other productivity tools, benefit from hardware‑accelerated rendering and system‑level notifications, and integrate with Windows credential storage to preserve zero‑access encryption. It could also cache recent conversation history locally for offline read‑only access and provide a system‑tray icon with quick‑launch and status indicators. The first release should mirror the web app’s feature set, offer a Windows‑styled UI (dark/light mode, resizable windows, snap‑assist), support automatic signed…

Do not format user inputs
Currently, in Lumo my user input is formatted in e.g. markdown when the app "recognizes" that it is markdown. However, it is not. I am working with files that have comments at the top starting with # and it is falsy detected as markdown. Please keep the user input as raw text.

Allow Lumo to See it's own thinking.
This might be a bit weird but currently this is an ongoing issue.
why? because of Jailbreaking.
It's not clear with Lumo, but if you use Local Ais you will notice that, without telling you, they are assuming you are trying to jailbreak them when you copy paste what they thought + you telling them what to do or similar. Aka safety mechanism.
Second reason: Pressing the Copy button does not include the thinking. And on phone, when you try to select the whole sections, the whole screen get's selected, and i don't know why since it does not occurs…

Allow external files as data sources
It's annoying that I have to download publicly available files in order to upload to a Lumo session. Since you have a web search option, I know you have access to the web. Please add functionality that allows us to point to URLs to use as data sources. For example, I have some markdown files in my public GitHub repos i would like to use as a data source

Notify existing Proton users that Lumo is a new Proton product offering
Until I logged-in to Proton uservoice.com, I didn't know that Lumo exists. I do not recall getting an email notification. I got a notification, e.g., for Proton Authenticator. Anyway, I'm researching Lumo now, as I definitely can see myself using a Proton chatbot vs. other (data-collecting) offerings from those evil IT megacompanies. Currently, I have DuckDuckGo's DuckAssist set to offer answers as frequently as possible.
I really see traditional web search being replaced by AI-based search entirely. Perhaps AI-based search is the answer to finally being FREED from all the marketing results when you really want information rather than product/company/shopping…

Van AI to PI*
Subject: Feature Request: From "AI" to "PI" – The Solution for Persistent Context
Dear Proton & Lumo Team,I am writing to you as a user who values Lumo for its privacy, but who is stuck on a fundamental design issue: Digital Amnesia.
My Context: After a serious motorcycle accident in 2008 (traumatic brain injury, coma), I had to rebuild my entire life from scratch. For me, continuity is not a luxury—it is a necessity. When Lumo "forgets" who I am with every new session, it feels like losing my identity all over again.
The Problem: The Bell Without the…

Ability to disable "same output"
Currently, Lumo is copy pasting the exact same answers even when explicitly asked to use thinking
insted of using thinking, it just outputs the same answer
when Lumo is asked about something specifically Lumo is just outputing the same answer
Lumo sometimes does not realise that the 1st answer the server gives is the same answer
Due to how the server or system or whatever it is work, Lumo will constantly output the same answer
For reasons i do not understand, even if explicitly asked, Lumo will still give the same answer.
On mutiple test, over mutiple weeks, me insisting…

Shareable Link for Lumo Projects (Secure Collaboration)
Current limitation:
Lumo Projects are confined to a single user’s encrypted workspace; there is no mechanism to generate a shareable URL or invite another Proton user to a Project.Desired capability:
Ability to create a read‑only or collaborative link that:
Grants another authenticated Proton user access to the Project’s context (chat history, uploaded files, and custom instructions). Maintains end‑to‑end encryption and zero‑access storage, ensuring that only invited users can decrypt the content. Offers granular permission levels (view‑only, comment, edit).Use case for cannabis‑tech consultants:
Share curated compliance checklists, product‑training modules, and POS‑integration playbooks with multiple dispensary stakeholders. Enable rapid onboarding…6 votes -

Prorated Cash Refunds
Post 2: Prorated Cash Refunds
Title: Offer prorated cash refunds (not just account credit) when cancelling annual add-ons mid-cycle
Body:
Currently, if a user cancels an annual add-on subscription (such as Lumo Plus or Meet Professional) partway through the billing year, Proton issues a prorated refund only as account credit, not as a return of funds to the original payment method.
This policy effectively locks the user's money into the Proton ecosystem, even when they no longer wish to use the service. It forces users to either:
…Keep the subscription active to avoid "losing" the credit, or Accept that their2 votes -
Organize project folders under user-defined groups
This idea organizes projects with similar topics under "user-defined" group folders (i.e. "Politics," "Education," "Health," "Travel," etc.). However, creating groups is optional:
In the Lumo interface, one tab lists the groups and a second tab lists all projects, regardless of their group.
Groups can be created separately (empty folders). A group can also be created when a user creates a new project and assigns it to a group that doesn't already exist.
Projects can be create with/without specifying a group.
One, or more, projects can be moved from one group to another.
One, or more, groups can be selected for…

Notification for Changes in Shared Calendars
Dear Proton Support Team,
I have been using Proton Calendar together with my partner to manage our family calendar. The ability to share a calendar and edit it collaboratively is very valuable to us.
Issue:
At the moment we only receive reminders for events that we create ourselves. When my partner adds a new event (even if it is scheduled several weeks ahead) or modifies an existing one, none of us receives any notification—neither a push notification nor an e‑mail. Consequently, we often discover new entries only when we manually scan the calendar.Desired behavior:

Allow a chat to be splitted in two
Quite often, you start from a question, then derive to another subject, so that a single chat can contain different answers to different questions. These digressions are then difficult to find back, as the title only reflects the original question.
It would be nice, if simple to implement, to be able to split a chat into two different one, in order to have a better classification of past chats.

More rapid iCal polling
The slow rate at which Calendar polls external (iCal) feeds is the one thing that keeps me from being able to rely fully on Proton Calendar. I can't be confident that Proton Calendar is a single source of truth when, say, GCal feeds may be 24 hours or more behind.
