Add Message Timestamp Modes (Visible / Hidden / Off) for Temporal Accuracy
I propose adding a configurable timestamp setting for messages with three options: (1) Visible—timestamps appear in the UI and context window; (2) Hidden—timestamps are passed to Lumo's context for accurate temporal reasoning but remain invisible in the UI; (3) Disabled—no timestamps at all. Currently, Lumo sometimes misjudges the time (e.g., saying "good morning" at 8 PM), which undermines the experience. The Hidden mode would solve this by giving Lumo access to exact send times without cluttering the interface—clean design plus accurate AI reasoning in one setting.

Reoccurring tasks
I would like to see a feature where you set up a job for Lumo, like "summarize the news" (ofcourse with a more finegraded prompt), using web search, with an option to make it reoccurring, like a calendar event, for example every day at 7am.
Lumo would then message me on its own, with the latest findings.

Add the option to add knowledge (RAG) to custom Lumos and Projects
Having additional knowledge (RAG) to a custom Lumo and/or Project is really useful. One can add specific files/websites/documents for different types of custom Lumos or Projects.
As an example:
- custom Lumo acting as an expert for a product line - add the documentation for the product line as knowledge.
- custom Lumo acting as an expert in egovernment serivces - add the website of the egovernment services as knowledge
- a Project for personal finance - add invoices, or income reports as knowledge
- a Project related to planning an event - add offers, suggestions, plans as knowledgeAt…

Allow Lumo to be set as the voice assistant
Dear Proton Team,
I have always wanted a open source Voice Assistant on my phone as I do not want my conversations with a big tech company like Google Assistant or Gemini.
Currently the only solution I know of is Dicio but the assistant is quite basic in its capabilities so far, Lumo would be a great option because it's based on intelligent AI from Proton.
Please vote for this idea of you wish to see this in Lumo!

Make Lumo Less Dumb
As a paid Lumo subscriber, there's no kind way of putting this -- Lumo feels really dumb compared to any of the other mainstream LMMs. It struggles to follow and keep up with conversations once they exceed a handful of back-and-forth exchanges, it frequently hallucinates and confabulates, it gets easily confused to the point where I'm having to help it rather than it helping me, and it just generally feels like conversing with a well-meaning but addled, confused elderly person. "Voluntarily disclose" some chat with Lumo to help training
One of the disadvantages Lumo faces compared to its rivals is the shortage of training data. Why not offer Lumo users (both free and paid) the option to allow some of their chats to be used for training? For example, add a button at the beginning or end of each chat asking: "Do you want to donate this chat to help train Lumo?"
To encourage participation, Proton could offer a small reward for every chat donated—like a few minutes of premium usage or temporary access to advanced features.

iOS 27+ Siri Integration
The IOS 27 beta is releasing tomorrow June 8th with a revamped Siri that supports the third-party chatbots Claude, OpenAi and Gemini. I have no desire, as do many of us to use any of those apps due to privacy issues. There is no good reason that a security focused AI should be excluded from that list, in fact it should be at the top of the list in this day and age. To me this is a must have. Allow Lumo to use it's general memory inside of projects (or at least an option to toggle this)
Lumo's new memory feature is great, but if we had the option to allow Lumo to use the general memory it gets from our chats inside of projects, that could be really helpful for not having to repeat the same information multiple times, and potentially cut down on time spent tuning the memory in the project to what is needed.

Copy Lumo response as markdown
Copying a Lumo response presently comes out as plain text (stripped down of formatting).
Another button (or the same one with a dropdown option) could enable copying down the actual markdown formatting shown on screen instead.
Essential when drawing up documents.
The workaround today: copy the text, paste it into a new Proton Doc, and then copy as markdown from there. So it is feasible. The workaround is just cumbersome.7 votes -
Ability to delete portions of chats that are not useful
It would be great to have the ability to select and delete portions of chats that are not useful or were perhaps irrelevant to the query intent so as to streamline a chat to only contain the most relevant information for future reference.

Real‑time audio conversation
One of the features I was using—and I see people using—is audio‑based conversation with the models. The main goal is to practice languages by asking the model to simulate a dialogue, then receiving feedback and corrections. This is a feature I would love to have in Lumo, because I don’t feel comfortable sharing my voice with Big‑Tech models or companies that don’t respect privacy.

Organize Previous Chat Sessions
I would like the ability to move and sort chats. For example, I find myself starting a change session, and then once getting into it realize it should be part of a project. So the ability to move existing sessions to organize them would be very helpful.

I have a Duo Unlimited subscription. Lumo AI is usable but limited to creating just one project.
Despite my best efforts, I can’t find a way to move conversations into the single project I’ve created.

Option 1: Open the relevant conversation → select "Move to Project" → choose your existing project (e.g., "Miscellaneous") or create a new one.

Ability to delete attached files instead of only excluding them
Files marked as "Excluded" aren't truly removed—they're just moved to another section. There's no clear way to actually remove files from a chat.
Requested: Clear file removal/deletion options that actually removes files from the chat context.

Send to Proton Drive Button
I lost some very important conversations about my ****** cancer journey and important memories because Lumo's local storage was silently cleared despite History being enabled. An automatic export or "Send to Proton Drive" feature would prevent this from happening to others. Memories and Health conversations are too important to lose. Please consider adding automatic backup to Proton Drive or Proton Docs.

Higher file upload limits
I have a Plus account which has a listed limit of 25 mb, and have run into issues where the system gives an error message saying that I cannot load more than 10 mb; please increase file size up load limits

Code editor
It would be nice if the codeblock Lumo uses would be an interactive code editor.
Right now if I ask Lumo to change part of my code it also tends to rewrite other parts of code which I didnt ask it to do. With an interactive code editor I would be able to select a part of the code and make a prompt just about that selected part. Or I could edit the code myself if I dont like something without having to copy paste the whole code again to Lumo to let it know I edited something. This wouldn't…52 votes
