  2. Android App Forced-Update warning

    I have the issue that the Proton Calendar app will force me to install android app updates in the least convenient situations and blocks further usage without prior notice.

    I've deactivated automatic updates in my PlayStore and on some devices, I prefer not to have PlayStore installed at all, for privacy reasons.

    As a company focused on customer privacy, Proton should respect this aspect and give a notice to users, i.e "this app needs to be updated in the next 7 days if you'd like to continue using it" just like Whatsapp does.

  4. Improve handling of .ics / .vcs files on Mobile

    I frequently use ChatGPT and ask it to create .vcs / .ics files for me, to easily create an series of events at various dates or when I copy & paste a calendar from a website.

    As of today, it only allows to import files that contain a single event.

    The other issue I have, it will straight away add the event to your calendar, without opening the "Create event" dialog first, so you could set any reminders or invite people etc.

    Could you please improve the handling of calendar files on mobile?

    Be able to name the colour tags for events in the calendar.
    Such as the user will be able to change the colour Forest or Fern to be labelled as Pay Day
    or Strawberry to Anniversary

    "On the same day" notification is only possible for all-day events. I would like to receive a notification on the same day at a specific time also for standard events.

  8. An appended ID tag to each imported .ics event during import

    It would be nice if the imported .ics file process had, during import, appended a tag to each imported event, to allow in the search process the ability to select, mass move or delete multiple events in one go.

  9. Request for Bulk Deletion/Management of "Imported" Events in Proton Calendar

    I recently imported a calendar file from WebCal.Guru, which added a large number of entries (approximately a year’s worth) to my Proton Calendar. After realizing that I no longer need these entries, I tried to delete or move them in bulk but encountered the following issues:

    1. Identifying the Events:
    - I can search for these events using a common string included in each entry: “This calendar is provided by WebCal.Guru.”

- However, after listing them via search, Proton Calendar does not allow selecting or managing multiple events simultaneously.

  10. Edit and Delete an event from Search (web) page

    From the search page (web), it is not actually possible to directly modify or delete events. The only actions available are previewing and opening the event in the calendar.

    Please add these shortcuts to modify and delete.

  11. Simple navigation to a specific date.

    At the moment you have to scroll through each month if you want to jump to a specific date in the past or future. This is very inconvenient. In many other calendars it is possible to first select the year, then the month and then the day.

  13. Editing a recurring event in a series should only update the touched fields on other events

    Steps that cause my problem
    1. Creating a series of recurring events
    2. Change the time of one, apply only to this event
    3. Change the description of one, apply to all

    Step 3 will override changes made in step 2, which is unexpected behavior. I only touched the description, so why are the time and date of all the other events also touched? As someone who edits a lot of recurring events this is a must have before I can switch from gmail.

    Upon migrating to Proton Calendar I've lost audio notifications via Alexa to upcoming events. How about creating an integration into Alexa for people to chose IF they want those notifications?

  15. Swipe to change views on mobile app

    Problem:
    Currently you need to go to the menu to change from monthly/weekly/daily view, which is not very fluid if you want to change views back and forth quickly.

    Solution:
    As the up/down swipe is not being used this could be used to change between those views. For navigating quickly you could then swipe up to zoom out to month or year view and then swipe down to zoom in to the week or day you want.

  16. "Select all", "Unselect all" for Calenars

    We as a business use the shared calendars feature. There are up to 30 calendars managed by office. We need to search across those calendars, for example when a client calls and asks for an appointment. PLEASE create a toggle for "select all", "unselect all" for calendars to enable a fast workflow and decrease frustration.

    Making Proton Calenda as similar as possible to Google Calendar would be a great start. We are very used to using this platform, which is fluid, fast and intuitive, and the first full contact with Calendar is difficult.

    The fluidity with which you can move events to the centers with your finger.

    The range of colors for managing events.

    Being able to move some events and calendars to others.

    It would also be very nice to be able to synchronize Google Calendar and Proton Calendar via API so that in the transition between the two environments towards greater privacy, you…

  19. Set up daily summary of events by notification or email

    Be able to setup for each calendar whether we want to receive a daily summary of all the events
    => set recall time: "each day at" or "the day before at")
    => set if you want to receive your daily summary by email and/or by notification

  20. Option to hide all-day events in widget

    It would be great if you could hide all-day events in the calendar widget. If I have my vacation blocked out in my work calendar, I don't need to see that at the top of the widget every day.
