Sensitive‑Data Confirmation for Feedback
Problem
When users give a thumbs‑up/down on a response, the associated snippet (including any code or text shown) is sent for anonymous analysis. If the snippet unintentionally contains sensitive information (IP addresses, ports, encryption keys, hashes, credentials, etc.), that data could be transmitted without the user’s explicit consent.
Proposed Solution
Add a post‑feedback check that scans the rated snippet for patterns that look like sensitive data. If a match is found, display a prompt:
…“The content you just rated appears to contain potentially sensitive information (e.g., IP address, key, hash). Do you want to include this data in the feedback3 votes -
The ability to set a permanent but editable preamble that is always considered by Lumo+ at the start and during each chat.
I have recently moved from ChatGBT over to Lumo+ and I noticed some differences. Lumo+ under it's current configuration isn't nearly as accurate as Chat. Yes, Chat can get you up the wrong tree at times, but not as much as Lumo. One thing that I think that helped with Chat is the the ability to create a general header for how I wanted Chat to operate which included instructions about accuracy, depth, reply style, and whether to resort to the web to get latest information about softwre updates on things like Home Assistant and Raspberry Pi. With Chat I…

Lumo Integration Part Two (Lumo Dedicated Encrypted Desktop Assistant, Legacy & New Applications Work Options)
All code generation & storage is encrypted and wrapped by a YubiKey.
Running code requires a second‑factor OTP/TOTP from the same YubiKey.
If the device can’t handle the workload, LDA warns the user and offers a secure cloud‑inference fallback.
The assistant stays offline except for signed updates or an explicit, user‑approved cloud request.
Implement the modules, follow the testing plan, and you’ll have a privacy‑preserving, hardware‑rooted Lumo Desktop Assistant that can safely generate, store, and execute programs on demand.

Rich text in the Calendar
It would be great if the "Description" field in the Calendar entries would be rich text, like Google Calendar offers. That way, we can copy text and paste with formats like bold, underline, etc. etc.

I want to be able to use Lumo using the latest Firefox Extended Support Release (ESR) version
I want to be able to use Lumo using the latest Firefox Extended Support Release (ESR) version, so that I can continue to use Lumo on my company notebook that does not support other browser brands.
Since yesterday (1 Nov 2025) I receive a message that says "Unsupported browser". There has been no communications to inform us that the Firefox Extended Support Release (ESR) version will no longer be supported. Our browser version is fully up-to-date, at the time of writing it is 115.29.0 Firefox ESR October 14, 2025 and no newer version of Firefox ESR has been released at…

2) Lumo Actions
Lumo should be able to take cross-platform actions across the web, but the user should be in control at all times.

Answers on Top instead of Bottom
I would like to suggest, for answers to appear on top of a thread instead on the bottom. Instead of scrolling through the history from top to bottom, new answers appear on top. Should I want to reread the hlstory I can do so top to bottom Especially for longer threads that you would like to continue it would be more helpful.

Lumo Client (or API) with secure local execution of Lumo‑generated Python graphical output
When users request visualizations, Lumo frequently replies with Python code snippets (e.g., matplotlib graphics). Users can copy‑paste the code into their own environment to render the graphics.
It would be interesting to have some kind of Lumo‑Python bridge that delivers the generated Python code to a local client. The client runs the code in a sandboxed, offline Python/IPython/Jupyter/... session and returns the rendered image directly to the chat.
This would look like a local client chat application communicating with proton servers, able to execute Lumo-generated Python code on the user’s machine. No data leaves the device, preserving confidentiality and complying…

Let Lumo reference past chats & have memory
Hello Proton Team,
I would like to suggest adding a new feature to Lumo that allows it to collect personal information and interact with users in a manner similar to ChatGPT, but with a strong focus on privacy. The idea is to enable Lumo to understand and assist users by learning from their information, preferences, and interactions — all while ensuring that this data is fully private and protected via end-to-end encryption.
This would combine the convenience and intelligence of an AI assistant with Proton’s commitment to user privacy and security. It could open up new possibilities for personal productivity,…3 votes -
File types and size / unsupported file types
The current file types to upload f.e. images don’t work well and constantly I’ll get the message of “unsupported file type” in the pop-up window and that’s a false flag. They are all files types that Lumo support. I can open those files without any problems within Proton Drive or iCloud. Same issue occurs on Windows desktop, iPhone and iPad. Drag and drop makes no difference.
The file size is also an issue, limited to 10MB and I have a subscription. An average photo is already more than that. Files stored in Proton Drive can be uploaded with a maximum…

Add “Auto‑Enable Web Search” Setting for Lumo Chats
Introduce a new option in Lumo’s Settings—“Auto‑Enable Web Search” (or a similarly named toggle). When activated, Lumo would automatically turn on the web‑search capability at the start of every new conversation, eliminating the need for users to manually enable it for each chat session.
Why This Matters:
Seamless Experience: Users who rely on up‑to‑date information can get instant, real‑time answers without an extra step, making interactions feel more natural and efficient.
Consistency: Guarantees that all chats benefit from the latest data, especially for topics that change frequently (news, weather, stock prices, etc.).
Time Savings: Reduces repetitive actions for power users…

Toggle to volunteer to help improve lumos language model
This would be opt in. If the user agreed, then warnings and such would be provided. The user would decide what information to volunteer, but certain information types would be restricted to protect the users privacy and to not compromise the values that proton is built upon. Also, proton or whoever maintains the ai language info/etc..., would have the final say before any volunteered info would be added. The exact way of doing this would need very careful considerations.

An option to keep list of conversations always visible
Currently the left sidebar is collapsed by default and past conversations aren't visible. There is a button, that expands it, however that expanded state doesn't persist between reloads, and the next time Lumo is opened, it's collapsed again. For someone who returns to previous chats frequently it's a must have.

Removing Lumo from my Proton experience
Before you call me a Luddite, let me be clear: The original definition of a Luddite is one who did not want technology foisted upon them without consent. The AI craze has made me a loud-and-proud Luddite. Go elsewhere if you want to talk about how it's the "future" and "inevitable" in its current state.
My personal views on the viability of "ethical" GenAI aside, aside, I simply don't want to see a Lumo option in my tabs of much more useful Proton apps, like Drive, Calendar, Wallet and VPN.
Keep the cutesy purple cat out of my tabs, please,…

Last Day of Month Events
Recurring events on calendar - ability to choose the last day of the month. I tried choosing the 31st of the month, but on days that don't have 31 days, the event just disappeared, rather than adjusting to the last day.
