Proton Calendar on Mobile
Love that you guys created an encrypted Calendar - but what's the point of it if the only way to use it is to log in on the PM web version? There is no sync, no push notifications, and worst of all it's not available on mobile.
I think most of us use calendars on our mobile devices.
So PCalendar should either have a standalone app, or at the very least be integrated into the PMail app.
Better yet, is there any way to integrate/sync calendar data into a device's other third party calendar app?
For example, I've been using Fruux to keep my contacts and calendars in sync on multiple devices. I can add a calendar event in, say, Android's native calendar app, then it'll sync up with Fruux, and push that event on to ALL my other calendar apps (Fantastical on iOS, Thunderbird's calendar plugin, etc etc etc).
Thank you

Having the protonmail for iphone is great, but the calendar is not available for an iPhone (?). I rely heavily on my calendar each day, and I currently have to subscribe to another calendar service in order to have my appointments available on my cell phone. I subscribe to have your calendar (beta) , but it is of little use when I rely on my phone. Thanks!

I can't wait for the IOS version of the Proton Calendar app. I am in the process of ditching all things Google and this is a perfect opportunity for me. I was wondering if there is proposed release date? Thanks in advance for any information.

I agree with everything I have heard here. I was going to submit new category until I stumbled on here.
Thanks Proton Team, so far everything else looks great. I used ProtonVPN when I travel for work and it works quite fast compared to other VPN software packages. Excited for the ProtonDrive, ProtonCalendar and someone mentioned a office suite like Google, but to be honest, I think their suite stuff sucked. Opening a gdoc in MS Word would force extra work to fix layouts and gcalc and excel were even worse. I’m looking at just using a local app like LibreOffice which is a successor to OpenOffice.

Hello, can you tell me when the calendar application will be available on apple and can be synchronized?

The Proton Calendar Beta is over a year old and still too primitive. The recently released Android app is even more limited. Don't get me wrong, I like what I am seeing so far. However, the pace of development both on the web interface and the Android app is painfully slow.
I'm unable to create and manage calendars in the Android app. Also, the Proton Calendar needs more robust support for reoccurring rules, To-dos, Tasks, and Journals. I can't even import an ics file of national holidays and events (like daylight savings changes) without Proton Calendar balking that the event re-occurrences are too complicated to handle. The calendar desperately needs to support events that occur during specific weeks of the month on specific days (such as an event occurring the 3rd Thursday of every April). Without this ability its very difficult to calendar holidays and such.
Also, there is no provision for sharing/inviting others to calendar events.

Agreed that the calendar has almost no use as long as it can be installed on a phone and set to give phone reminders. I am anxious for this to be developed and would be willing to be part of a beta test group.

I shudder now at all the demographic data amassed by Google and other big tech companies via their Contacts apps.

The calendar and current early version of the Android app is great. The last thing holding me back from completely switching from Google Calendar to Proton Calendar is a widget which would let me see today's and the next few days' events at a glance. I'd be grateful if you could develop this feature at some point.

I Agree, pretty worthless without mobile/sync solutions...

Could you publish a timeline for IOS and Android Calendar apps? I need to get my family off G and your mobile apps don't seem to be a viable option at this time.
In Dec of 2019 you suggested these apps would be available in 2020, so your customers may feel a bit misled by now. -

I would like to transition to protoncalendar but I use my phone most often and cannot synch with the beta.protonmail.com website.

I am happy with Windows so far, but..would be nice if I can embed the calendar on my site in a secure way so that customers can only see when I am available and when I am busy.

Couldn't agree more... Calendar function is critical to operating both personally and professionally. Having it available on a mobile device is paramount! It should sync devices, it should be available in all operating platforms (iOS, Android, Windows...).
Also having the ability to invite people to an event/meeting is basic and critical. I am anxiously awaiting when PCalendar is available on all my devices as not only an App, but also integrated into ProtonMail.

I am very much looking forward when we will be able to sync our calendars with Bridge to any calendar on laptops and phones! Otherwise this feature is pretty useless if I can only access through my internet browser! Thank you so much for your work.

Same here. A mobile calendar app is deal breaker. Calendar events handling is done mostly on mobile phone.

And, please, upload an Android app to F-Droid?
