iOS widget
It'd be super useful if there was a mobile widget for the ProtonCalendar app so I can see my calendar from my home screen

Widgets are available for Proton Calendar Android.
We are keeping this issue for the iOS app.

This is the biggest issue that’s preventing me from being able to switch to Proton Calendar

this is quite literally essential. every calendar app, EVERY has a widget. this is not difficult to implement.

this would make it a lot easier to move away from google & apple calendar

Under review for almost 2 years. Pitiful. Feature parody between platforms is paramount and the lack of response to paying customers is disrespectful.

A widget to display upcoming events on IOS would be quite useful so you can easily pick at what's coming.
I would not call is a serious issue or blocker to migrate but it would add a very nice touch to this great app.
Unless there is a potential security issue behind this, it would be interesting to know why it hasn't been developed yet. -

The missing widgets are a serious issue and should be top priority for the dev team.

I cannot fully migrate to Proton Calendar until iOS widgets are available. This is essential.

It's absolutely unacceptable that ProtonCalendar still lacks widget support for iOS, even after four years since the initial user request and two years since the Proton team acknowledged its importance. Widgets are a basic feature that significantly enhances the usability and convenience of any calendar app, allowing users to quickly view upcoming events from their home screen.
The fact that this essential functionality has not been prioritized is baffling and frustrating for users who have been patiently waiting for far too long. It's time for the Proton team to allocate the necessary resources and deliver on this crucial feature. ProtonCalendar risks falling behind its competitors who have long offered widget support.
Proton team, please make the implementation of iOS widgets for ProtonCalendar a top priority. Your users deserve better, and the continued absence of this basic feature reflects poorly on your commitment to providing a high-quality, user-centric experience.

Created an account just to echo the sentiment that the app is useless until there is a widget. I’ve had pcal since it released on iOS and have yet to use it because of the lack of widget support.

Proton Calendar will be useless no matter what you do until you provide a good widget

Google Calendar has widgets so i can easily view this month, today, etc and shows my events without having to open the app. This would make me switch to proton as my main calendar

That's a great suggestion! I think you have picked the idea from https://mobilecheck.pk/ A mobile widget for ProtonCalendar would indeed enhance its usability, allowing quick access to schedules without opening the app. It's a feature many users would appreciate for added convenience.

Any update on this?
It is more in inconvinence zone that easy of use for me. That is the only reason i see to not switch to P.CAL. -

If you are adding iOS widgets, please also consider macOS widgets, if those can be implemented in the electron mail desktop app! Thank you!

I want Proton Calendar to support widgets on both my iPhone and my iPad.
The lack of widget support & lack of tablet support prevent me from considering Proton Calendar to be a serious competitor to alternatives that offer more features.

Proton Calendar needs a widget (similar like Google Calendar has) for iPhone.

I hope this will include a small widget for the iOS 17 Lock Screen. I switched over from Apple calendar just recently and I like that function.
