Create Calendar event from email
How can create a Calendar entry from Mail with just one click?

This is foolish, scam ICS is sent out and you want to add it to your calendar and automatically tell the scammer your email address is valid so that you get even more spam ??
Please rethink this idea so that it only applies to people in your contact list and all others go to spam. -

Is there a way to ask Proton Mail Product Manager to check the other repeated requests about this topic, sum up all the votes and start coding this feature? In total we already have more than 37 votes!

It is annoying to download the ics file, then import it from the calendar app. Every time, for all invitations.

The duplicate request at https://protonmail.uservoice.com/forums/932842-proton-calendar/suggestions/43080603-import-ics-invite has more votes - I suggest voting there instead.

There are duplicate requests at:
* https://protonmail.uservoice.com/forums/932842-proton-calendar/suggestions/39403963-to-be-able-to-add-event-to-calendar-from-email-scr
* https://protonmail.uservoice.com/forums/932842-proton-calendar/suggestions/43430718-integrate-calendar-and-email-so-that-events-can-be
* https://protonmail.uservoice.com/forums/932842-proton-calendar/suggestions/43399926-add-protoncalendar-event-from-protonmail
* https://protonmail.uservoice.com/forums/932842-proton-calendar/suggestions/42829062-import-invitation-received-by-emailat least. This is including only the ones I've seen that specifically mention importing .ics invites directly from ProtonMail - I think there are others about more generally importing .ics files from your computer. I'd prefer not to have to download from email -> upload to calendar as two separate steps (and get random files cluttering my desktop) but it'd be acceptable as a workaround. The other suggested workaround of downloading, editing, and uploading is too many steps for me - at that point it's easier to just retype the whole invitation myself.

This would be an excellent addition

Yes! The option to" create a new event" by uploading a ICS invite from your computer.

As described in the title, it would be great to automatically import an event attached to a mail (.ics) to Proton Calendar without having to download and manually import it.
Moreover, I would like to automatically answer to the invite. -

As a work around.
Open the ICS file with a text editor and replace, approx in line 4,
METHOD:REQUEST byMETHOD:PUBLISH
Save the ics file and import it.
You will lose the list of invited people but at least you have the appointment, -

Add an event to the calendar from ProtonMail or add an email to a particular date on the ProtonCalendar. Simply, integrating the calendar with the email so that we don't have to have both open in order to coordinate.

If you get an invite to an event in my protonmail from someone with a gmail account (example), and I accept the invitation it would be good for it to sync the event with the proton calendar.

You can import ICS calendar but if you're sent a meeting / appointment ICS file, to your protonmail account, you do not have an option to accept or import it. This is a must if Proton's calendar is going to replace google calendar. (which I really hope I'll be able to do soon with all Proton products)

This would be a very good feature to have.

When my Gmail account receives a .ics invite from Proton Calendar, my Google Calendar automatically shows the event, marked as still needing an RSVP. If I move the event in Proton Calendar, Gmail receives an updated invitation, and Google Calendar automatically moves the event to the new time.
I would like to see Proton Calendar do the same thing: automatically add events based on .ics invites in the inbox, and automatically update them based on new .ics invites.

As an extension of this, I would like to be able to open an ics attachment in the ProtonMail iOS app and be able to add it to my Apple Calendar as I would in the Apple Mail app.

Agree with others, and suggest PM consolidate similar votes - the entire tally would be much higher. This is a general import/export request for calendar - support common filetypes like .ics, .ical, etc.

I often receive ICS files from a shared Gmail calendar invite email sent to my PM email account.
It would be great to be able to import those invites into my Proton Mail calendar.
I would then be able to manage my personal diary in PM Calendar and see a copy of my gmail calendar invites too.
