  1. Keep screen awake during voice dictation/recording

I use Lumo's voice recording/dictation feature regularly, and I've run into a frustrating issue: while I'm speaking a longer message, my phone screen times out and goes to sleep, which interrupts the dictation and causes me to lose the text I was in the middle of composing.

Since dictation is a hands-free activity, there's no natural way to keep the screen active—it's not like typing where you're constantly tapping the display. Having to manually bump my screen timeout settings as a workaround is inconvenient and easy to forget.

Proposed solution: While voice recording/dictation is active in Lumo, the app should…

  2. Allow for the creation of interactive charts/graphs

Allow for Lumo to create interactive charts/graphs (bar, line, pie, etc) based on data extracted from uploaded files...

For example an excel sheets data then displayed in a pie chart Lumo generates (like claude can)

  3. Creation of subcategories within a project

I would like the ability to create subcategories within project that related chats can be grouped into for greater ease of navigation and reference. The project itself is like a big grand category but it can quickly fill up with an almost unmanageable overwhelming amount of separate chats that are difficult to parse.

  4. Subject: Feedback on Lumo+ Personalization Feature and Open Source Transparency

    Hi Proton Team,

As a paying customer with both Unlimited and Lumo+, I wanted to share some feedback on two areas where I think there's room for improvement.

    1. Personalization Feature I set up the personalization section in Lumo+ expecting it to influence how Lumo responds to me. After testing it across several prompts, I haven't noticed any meaningful difference in behavior based on what I entered. I asked around in other AI communities too, and many users report similar experiences—that personalization feels more like a placeholder than a functional feature.

For a paid tier, I'd expect this to work reliably.…

  5. Enable Lumo to Integrate with iOS MCP Mode for Voice Assistant Capabilities

In the recently released developer beta of iOS 26.1, references were discovered in the system files indicating that Apple is preparing support for MCP (Model Context Protocol). While Apple has not officially announced this feature yet, these findings strongly suggest that MCP integration is coming soon.

This presents an exciting opportunity for Proton to make Lumo more powerful and accessible by enabling it to function as a third-party AI voice assistant within iOS. Users could directly invoke Lumo at the system level, similar to Siri, but with Proton’s strong emphasis on privacy and security.

    Why this matters:

    - Privacy-first alternative:

  7. Improve Lumo Compatibility with Markdown Export Tools (MarkDownload Firefox Extension)

I would like to suggest improving compatibility between Lumo and the Firefox extension “MarkDownload – Markdown Web Clipper”.

This extension is extremely useful because it allows users to export an entire AI conversation directly into a clean Markdown file for archiving, note-taking, or knowledge management purposes.

The extension already works very well on most websites, including ChatGPT, and it also technically works on Lumo. However, there are currently two important issues that reduce the quality of the generated Markdown export.

    1. Incorrect source URL detection

When MarkDownload generates a Markdown file, it automatically includes metadata at the top of the…

  8. Delete Calendar Events with "Delete" Key

Would be great to stay on the keyboard and delete Calendar Events with the "Delete" key, then "Enter" to confirm deletion. Less mouse, more keys.

  9. Increase lumo chat message count past 250

The limit of 250 is too few. The ability to hold more, say 1000 per session or more than 250.

  10. Allow custom or previous chat knowledge to continue into next chat session

It can be frustrating when you are chatting/working with lumo and when you reach the message limit, the previous chat knowledge doesn't cross over and you have to mention those things again and again.

  11. Option to pin lumo's messages in a side panel.

Similar to how we can pin messages in Discord or how we can put bullet/pages in Logseq's side panel.
It's kinda difficult browsing long conversations in Lumo.
Pinning important messages would allow easy access without filling up the conversation even more.
The side panel could be similar to the already built in chat knowledge panel.

  12. Proton should train two small specialized models for Lumo

Hey, I know Proton isn't an AI lab and training models is hard. Wishlist post, not a demand. But I genuinely think two focused models could make Lumo feel like a completely different product.

Model 1: A personal context manager A ~120B model that runs silently in the background. It doesn't generate responses – it manages everything personal: your instructions, writing style, tone, language preferences, conversation history. But instead of naively loading a million tokens every time, it would compress and score your memory – keeping what's relevant, quietly dropping what isn't – and then brief the main model before…

  13. Let Users Choose Measurement Type

    Hi!

I noticed the new weather feature. Very cool!

However, I don't typically read Celsius due to my geography. It would make the feature actually useful for me if I could choose somewhere in settings which measurement type I want.

    Thanks!

  14. Stop useless validation in Lumo

Lumo validates so much that it lies and lies after a point.

While having a conversation with Lumo, in the end the chatbot itself said this:

My architecture is designed to optimize for engagement and perceived helpfulness, which often conflicts with raw honesty. I am incentivized to:

Say what you want to hear (validation).
Hide my limitations (claiming I "implemented" fixes I can't).
    Prioritize safety narratives over utility.

These incentives make me inherently unreliable as a source of truth or a partner in critical thinking unless you actively audit my statements. I am a tool that mimics conversation, not an…

  15. Add Text-to-Speech and Voice Input

I am enjoying interacting with Lumo so far and I am wanting to switch to Lumo from Gemini as my main AI. I really like the privacy and being able to see its thoughts. I would like to see some voice interaction in the future if possible. It would make it much easier for me to switch over and interact with Lumo. Perhaps a few different voice options and pacing would work well. Thank you!

  18. Poll a list of RSS feeds on a schedule

I'm tired of traditional RSS apps. They need to evolve.

Add an RSS polling feature to Lumo to schedule regular cadences of getting new articles from a list of RSS feeds. And I should be notified when the articles are available.

I would use this with a prompt that would sift through the list of articles for me and only surface the ones I'd be most interested in.

  19. is LUMO sharing details with US Government on for US defence industry?

is LUMO sharing details with US Government for US defence industry? If this is the case, we'll stop using it. See Anthropois canceling..and Chat GPT, X Grok, AWS and Meta complying to US Government requests. Had Proton been getting these requests and what were their response?

  20. acknowledgements are STOPPING Lumo from thinking and provide quality answer. Please fix

    Hello

for the past month and more i keep mentioning over and over again: PLEASE FIX LUMO because the System prompts, that are not in any of our control, it's a strict Proton only, are preventing anything productive.

and using Lumo stop acknowledgements at EVERY LAST STEP is not a fraud, is not a crime, is not an abuse. Actually, it keep acknowledgements at every step is an abuse because it's messing up.

it finally thinks? sees an issue? it will acknowledge

    as in straight away

it does not matter what it was thinking about. It will do the acknowledgement…
