  1. Hide calendar visuals without turning off notifications

    I'd love for there to be a way to turn off the visuals for a calendar, without turning off the notifications. Sometimes I just don't want to have to see all the clutter, but still want to get notifications for them.

    Perhaps something like a little eye icon to toggle, besides the on/off it has currently? Or clarify if you want to turn the calendar (and thereby notifications) off with a little notification bell icon, or turn off the visuals with the eye icon?

  2. Remove a canceled single instance of a recurring event from an external sender

    When an external sender cancels a single instance of a recurring event that I'm invited to, I would like to be able to get that event off my calendar.

    Desired user experience:
    1. Person invites me to a recurring event series
    2. Person sends a cancellation for a single instance of the event
    3. I receive the cancellation and see the instance w/ a strikethrough and "canceled" status on my calendar
    4. I open the event and press "Delete" (or trash icon)
    5. The instance of the event is no longer on my calendar. All other instances in the recurring…

    That it be allowed to color the entire rectangle of an event in the calendar and not just the edge of the left corner.

  5. menstruation tracking

    In today's socio-political environment many women are in danger of having their menstrual tracking data used to jail or kill them for "crimes" such as using birthcontrol or having a miscarriage. Having this data in a secure encrypted place will save lives. If menstruation specific events / data tracking could be added to the calendar it would be extremely helpful.

  6. Can you make the widget half the width?

    Could you enable the smaller widget on iOS? I need a calendar widget but the full width one is too much for me, I’m not that popular :(

  7. Global busy calendar link

    Proton Calendar already allows you to mark many calendars as contributing their events to the user's busy time. Unfortunately, this is only visible within the Proton organization and there is no easy way to show people outside of proton whether you are busy or not.

    Proton Calendar should add an ICS link that can be shared in order for others to subscribe to your availability. The busy link can be passed on to colleagues or appointment software such as cal.com. The ICS file combines busy times from ALL calendars that the user has marked as showing themselves as busy.

  9. Duplicate event in macOS app with option-drag

    Many macOS apps (including calendar) have the functionality to quickly duplicate items by dragging and dropping with the Option button depressed - quicker even than copying and pasting to a new location. Even better if multiple items can be selected before dragging and dropping.

  10. Problem: Delayed synchronization between Todoist and Proton Calendar

    I use DoDoIst and have integrated the task feed into my Proton Calendar. Unfortunately, the calendar does not synchronize the tasks until the next day. Is it also possible to have the synchronization performed immediately? What do I have to do for this?

  12. Add subcategories or labels to calendar

    This would be great if we could have the option to have sort of "subcalendars" or even labels could work too.

    The issue I'm having is that currently, I have one calendar for "Meeting", "Medical appointements", "Party", etc... But in the end, I would like to put them all in a "Personal" calendar (as opposed to "Professional" for exemple). So that I can share my personal calendar with someone so that they can see my availability or stuff like that.

  14. Notify subscribers when an event is added/deleted/changed in a shared calendar

    As a user I would like to get a notifications, when another users add an event to a shared calendar, so that I know what new events have been added without the need to look through the calendar.

    This behaviour should be similar when a users deletes or changes an event in a shared calendar.

  15. Copy Calendar Event into Proton Calendar from Subscription Calendar

    In Thunderbird Calendar, I had the ability to copy or ctrl+C an event from a subscribed calendar, and paste it to any of my other calendars.

    I work with a job that gives me access to a subscribed calendar and updates my total worked time in that calendar. Adding this function will will help me keep track of changes and to keep a record in my personal calendar.

  16. Option to add Task & Eisenhower Matrix for Proton Calender

    Sometimes you have myriads of things to do. In such case, prioritising becomes essential. Eisenhower Matrix is one such matrix which help ppl to take action on the basis of importance and urgency of the task allotted in the hand. This will require option to logging of task like to-do list and then tag it in one of the quadrants.

    Use case

    For students, they have multiple assignments going on each week with deadline ranging from months and weeks or even days. Creating events in calendar is not the ideal way to solve for it as you can't see list…

  17. widget: mask sensitive events

    It would be great to have a flag that marks sensitive calendar events. The practical effect would be to mask the event name in the calendar widget (iOS, Android). As an example, you might have an event of “surgery 2-5pm”; if marked as sensitive the widget would display it as “[event] 2-5pm”. As such you could still see that there is an event in the widget and you would still see the time, but you couldn’t see the name of the event name unless you went into Calendar.   18. Allow for more flexible data entry for calendar event start/end time

    It would be helpful if the selection fields for calendar event start times could match a wider range of text input to avoid excessive mouse clicks. At present, typing in the fields will automatically select one of the pre-set options in the list (i.e., "12:00 AM", "12:30 AM", and so on) based on an exact match of the text string. While this does allow for somewhat rapid selection in limited cases, i.e., for events starting at midnight and on the hour from 2 am to 9 am (allowing typing a single digit and then it autoselects), but then further selection…

  20. Allow URIs to display as hyperlinks in event description

    As a Proton Calendar user i should be able to put a URI to an external application in my calendar description and it display as a link so that i myself, as well as others, can quickly reference data pertaining to the meeting event.

    Not just URLs to websites; but for someone who uses obsidian notes, i was surprised when i started dropping URIs into appointments and they did not turn into links. Simple hyperlink support would make it much easier for folks using external notes and other applications to quicky jump form calendar to event related notes.
