Lightning Network Bitcoin payment option
The Lightning Network is in beta, but it allows for instant payments (no confirmations) and almost 0% fees, provided the user has a channel open. You already accept Bitcoin... and the Lightning Network is a major upgrade to way people will use BTC to make payments. If you do it soon, you will also get a P.R. boost, as it will inevitably be mentioned in the Bitcoin media.

What a terrible idea. Please don't pander to the Lightning Network nonsense. People on reddit.com are organizing a campaign to cast votes on this issue. Please don't encourage this type of brigading.
Your resources will be much better invested in accepting more cryptocurrencies including Bitcoin BCH.

Would love to see Protonmail support Lightning! This would enhance privacy and reduce transaction fees. Please don't waste any time supporting the scam coin bcash.

Add an LN would simply be terrific.

I would be interested to see research into pay-as-you-go LN applications which charge for mail server bandwidth atomically as messages are sent/recieved

Don't want you guys to waste your resources implementing a network used by virtual nobody and that has no future and would only result in ticket requests. I vote no for implementing Lightning Network.
Your time would be better spent supporting Bitcoin Cash and adding support for privacy coins Monero, ZCash, Dash & perhaps even Verge.
Thanks.

Lightning Network works really well, we finally have the speed of credit card transactions with privacy and security of Bitcoin. TorGuard has been accepting LN for months now and it's been a great experience.

Lightning Network is a fundamentally broken idea, that time should not be wasted on.

I am surprised that nobody upvoted your idea. Lightning Network is working great, payments are instant and fees are extremely low which will encourage more users to pay using Bitcoin.
