YubiKey support
The dedicated Protonmail community deserves a real response from the crack team of Protonmail scientists and engineers. When are you implementing Yubikey or are is your tag line just bs?

Really how hard is it. Protonmail becomes a daily nuasance with typing in your OTP all the time.

I would like to request (1) 2FA: integration with Yubikey or other physical key for 2FA in Proton Mail and VPN (2) Space for suggestions and/or comment in the annual survey for Protonmail/Proton VPN.

Not renewing my protonmail membership when it expires in a few months time, as I fail to understand why such a security related and highly requested feature isn't here yet.
1) Especially from a paid-for service.
2) Especially when frippery like chat features and random crypto currency payment seem to get more interest from the developers.
3) Especially when the USP of ProtonMail is security.
4) Especially when development isn't done in the open, changelogs aren't available, etc. -

I got this value from my dev tools and more like this one above are being produced. Upon investigation, it seems as if a hacker is working to compromise the integrity of my Protonmail account while I am logged in, please invesrtigate and be aware. The time is 11:42PM EDT on 2/13/19, so whatever you have in place collecting data, this hacker is tenacious, has been in my life for over 4 years now, and is insistent on knowing everything I know. Protonmail would do themselves and their community a service to gain any and all information about any unusual,, not typically a problem type entries and records. It will reveal much. My Protonmail username is zcoblens. -

I appreciate the "U2F support will be available in ProtonMail soon." but that message has been there since August 22, 2018. And with each day/week/month it looks more and more likely like this will not happen. Is there any chance of getting some type of timeline here? I know you can't promise a date, but "just wait" is not exactly an answer either. I moved from Fastmail and I may be regretting that decision now.

Dear,
Nitrokey Pro2 and FIDO U2F may be worth considering.
In another way it most likely already works with the existing 2FA. But it is not well documented on the main 2FA documentation page.
Please add extra information so we know if TOTP or HOTP is used with the lenght of 6 digits and what other parameters required.

Big fan of protonmail and a premium user, but every month this goes by is another month I lose interest in renewing. I already kicked my LastPass subscription to the curb in favour of dashlane for not getting their act together with u2f, it's going to be time to start looking for an email provider who takes security seriously as well.

Do you happen to have an estimated time when this feature will be ready? I am considering moving to a different email provider that supports this feature.

With the latest FIDO2 updates and all of the major web browsers supporting this (including Windows now for login!) will you be adding support for security keys like the Yubikey? This is a feature that I would REALLY like to utilize for MFA.

I see this idea for U2F support was posted 2/4/2017. This is an important feature that a company with security in mind should give high priority to. The ProtonMail team responded on 9/19/208 to say it was under development, but it still resides in the planned stage.
Can someone please let us users know the estimated completed date?

We've been asking for this for years, surely more important security feature than adding chat functions or calendars?!

Pretty perturbed at this myself. I noticed that they archived their U2F work on github. This doesn't bode well...

It's been under development for ages now. Please provide some communication as to when we can expect this (highly necessary) security feature.

You can program YubiKey to generate One-Time Passwords.
