YubiKey support
The dedicated Protonmail community deserves a real response from the crack team of Protonmail scientists and engineers. When are you implementing Yubikey or are is your tag line just bs?

As a secure service, Protonmail should have been leading the way for this. Encrypted means nothing if this isn't provided for security of the account.

I've been waiting patiently for 2+ years for this functionality to migrate my domains from Google to this service. Unfortunately, if this doesn't get implemented in the next 12 months, I will likely resolve to closing my proton account and stay with Google since Yubikey support is standard in Google Workspace.

I would like to see the feature 2FA with a Yubikey to be added to this service.

It is unacceptable that support for Yubikey has not been added. If support for YubiKey is not added I will not be renewing my subscription.

The Proton mail Yubikey revolution time to ditch unnecessary apps on mobile devices and have a none smart but every effective device. Everyone here is about that privacy life and Yubikey is that step towards a more secure and private future.

For a "secure" mail service, hardware token support should be a no-brainer.

I wholeheartedly agree with this suggestion instead of having to use the authenticator app to generate 2FA codes.

This security feature, which many consider to be absolutely mandatory, is now several YEARS overdue! What is the actual problem?

As someone who is switching from Apple, I despise surveillance tools. However, I have not yet heard of Yubikey and don't know what use it has. I am curious to learn more and look forward to more new developments from the Proton team.

This feature is the third most requested feature and many users already spelled out all the valid reasons we needed it. Let me just make a quick comment, For using Yubikey or other HSM:
- It is important to allow register at least 2 YubiKeys, one for backup.
- We needs alternative back up method available for in case both Yubikey is destroy due to black swan event. -

The aggressive tone of the request is unnecessary, but yes, Yubikey support would be highly appreciated!!

I don't know what they are waiting for... I'm waiting and thinking of this feature every day. I'm tired of seeing these YubiKeys on my desk rarely being used. U2F should be a top 1 priority and protonmail doesn't seem to be giving this enough attention which makes me very very frustrated. Please proton do something about this, people have been waiting for years. I'm really feeling like cussing and saying bad words, but I'm keeping my cool. Thank you.

Yubikey needs to be supported before I go Plus or Professional.
