Pay per GB
Pay for EXACTLY the storage that you used in a month, instead of having to bump plans with *** GB increments - and serious price increases.
Proton uses limits to extract maximum consumer surplus and force new plans on people, when all they want is just more storage. This is just like commercial companies, and leaves a bad taste.
The better approach is to align consumer value and producer cost : pay for what you use, with a standard cost-plus premium. It's not how you make the most money, agreed - but it is how you build a loyal user base.
This can the max usage hit per month, but it would be nicer if it was calculated per day, invoiced per month. With post-pay you never have to worry about running out of storage. Another option would be standard (smaller) increments, reserved up front (pre-pay).

I agree, but remember that Proton itself is a company and they also need pay their workers.
And I think when people will pay for only what they use Proton would accually earn more mony.
