Make Proton Mail optional or more functional for Proton Pass & SimpleLogin user
I purchased the lifetime plan primarily for Proton Pass and SimpleLogin. However, I’ve noticed that using a Proton Mail account is currently required to log into these services.
If Proton Mail is going to remain a mandatory part of the login system, I would appreciate it if the account came with more practical functionality—such as email forwarding, around 10GB of mailbox storage, and access to Proton Mail Bridge.
At the moment, the Proton Mail account feels somewhat underutilized and doesn’t offer much value for my use case.
If providing these features isn’t feasible, I would kindly suggest reconsidering the requirement to use Proton Mail for logging into Proton Pass, and exploring more flexible options.
I hope you will continue to improve the service in a way that reflects the needs of your users.

I would at least expect Proton Bridge to be available to Pass Plus subscribers so they could overcome some of the Mail Free limitations and make service they are paying for worth the money.

Edit / Additional Note:
Just to add a bit more context — one of the reasons the Proton Mail account feels underutilized is that, even as a free email service, it lacks some very basic features such as automatic trash deletion and the ability to organize emails into folders. Without these, it's difficult to see practical value in using Proton Mail as a webmail solution, especially for users who mainly signed up for Proton Pass and SimpleLogin. It seems clear that the goal is to encourage users toward Proton Mail, but if the essential features are missing, even a free service goes unused. Naturally, it also doesn’t make a strong case for upgrading to a paid plan.
