I completely agree with this suggestion. I would add that it would be great if Proton offered not only dedicated gateways/servers, but also a Dedicated IP for individual users, as an extension of the existing Business Dedicated IP feature.

The idea would be to allow subscribers of plans such as Proton Unlimited and Proton Duo to purchase an exclusive public IP address used only by their own account, without necessarily having to create a Business account.

It would be especially useful to be able to choose the geographic location of the IP. For example, Proton has servers in McAllen, Texas, but a user might need a dedicated IP in Anchorage, Alaska, even though that city does not currently have a conventional Proton VPN server. Proton could assess the feasibility of each request and, when possible, provide the IP through its own infrastructure or infrastructure partners.

A physically dedicated server would not be necessary for each user. The key requirement would be for the outbound IP to be exclusive and stable, remaining associated with the account while the feature is active and not being shared with other users.

I would be completely willing to pay an additional fee for this feature, just as is already common with other dedicated IP solutions on the market. Proton could determine the pricing model and price it considers appropriate to cover the infrastructure and maintenance costs.

In my opinion, this would complement the dedicated gateway proposal very well: users who need more complete infrastructure could purchase a dedicated gateway, while those who only need an exclusive IP associated with a specific geographic location could purchase a Dedicated IP directly with their individual plan.

And to add on to this, I think people who subscribe to the VPN service (or have Unlimited/Duo/Family) should be able to opt into dedicated/static IP service on personal accounts, even if it costs a bit more. Many other VPN services are rolling this out for maybe US$3-4 a month -- would be great to have this option to greatly reduce the number of blocked connections and those infernal captchas.
