I understand that Standard Notes is an independent solution and that its paid features are not included in the Proton Unlimited or Proton Duo plans. Even so, I believe Proton could offer its own note-taking solution integrated into its ecosystem, inspired by the simplicity and practicality of Google Keep, but developed according to Proton’s privacy principles.

The goal would be to create a simple, fast, and versatile app for organizing different types of content in one place, such as:

Plain-text or formatted notes.

To-do lists, shopping lists, and reminders.

Checklists and notifications.

Drawings and handwritten notes.

Images and photographs.

Audio recordings and audio files.

Documents and other attachments.

Links, web pages, and saved content.

Personal records, ideas, and daily notes.

It would be interesting for Proton Notes to be included in the Proton Unlimited and Proton Duo plans, giving subscribers a private and integrated alternative without requiring them to purchase another note-taking service separately.

The app should maintain a strong focus on privacy and security, with features such as:

End-to-end encryption for notes, drawings, images, audio recordings, and attachments.

No telemetry, advertising, or tracking.

Data accessible only to the account owner and to people explicitly authorized by the user.

Secure synchronization across devices.

Offline functionality, with synchronization occurring once an internet connection is available.

Organization through folders, labels, categories, and colors.

Version history and the ability to recover deleted content.

Data export in open and accessible formats.

Integration with Proton Drive for secure storage of files and attachments.

Integration with Proton Mail, allowing users to save the content or information from an email as a note.

Integration with Proton Calendar, making it possible to turn a note or reminder into a calendar event.

Optional integration with Lumo to summarize, organize, search, transcribe audio recordings, and assist with content creation.

The integration with Lumo should be optional and include clear privacy controls. Users should be able to choose which notes, images, drawings, audio recordings, or documents may be analyzed, without their content being processed automatically or without explicit permission.
