Excited about the recent launch of meet, however wouldn't mark this request as completed.
Please allow us to video call other Proton users directly. Sending a link to a private meeting is one way to connect, but not as seamless as a direct call.

That is great. Where can I find a walk through of features ( compared to ZOom for instance)?
- I use Firefox and am told to go to system preferences to be able to screen share. I looked at my Mac preferences but did not easily find how to allow acces to Proton Meet, nor did I find this in Firefox preferences.
Could you be more specific as to how to allow screen share on Proton Meet? I.E: go to: step 1> Step 2> ....- How does Meet connect with calendar after creating a recurring meeting in Meet ? ie, can I create a new meeting with a custom link on Calendar?
The only option after creating a ProtonMeet is to add it to G Cal, or to create an .ics file, not to add it to Proton calendar. The .ics file automatically updates the iCal on my Mac. :-/
- I am a paying customer in proton family. However, nothing in the Family package description is included about Proton meet. It seems recording is not an option with my subscription. That seems unfair, especially as we test it out.

I'm glad to see this feature is in the works. In addition to video/voice meetings, does it provide a user-to-user or user-to-group text-only chat capability as well?

Please make something like Google voice! Ideally, without the need to add my phone number.

I just tested the beta of Proton Meet today. It's fine for a start but needs some fine tuning and I am positive it will grow great over time.
@Amplitude: Yes, currently there is an option "Add Proton Meet conferencing" for each Proton calendar event.

Proton Meet is currently in the works.
However, if any of Proton Meets developers see this, I hope they include the Proton Meets meeting code link into Proton Calendar.
Currently, Proton Calendar only allows for Zoom links to be attached to events.

New Product Idea: Proton Meet
A secure, encrypted video meeting platform integrated with Proton Mail and Calendar. Similar to Zoom, but privacy-focused, ensuring no spying on users like with Teams or Google Meet. Perfect for confidential meetings with full end-to-end encryption. -

The phone technician just informed me that our landline service will be discontinued as soon as the phone company finishes setting up their fiber optic cables. He said that they will be scanning the content of the messages that pass through them. Having a secure voice service is VERY important to our family. If Proton were to offer such a service, we would definitely sign up as paying customers. PLEASE consider offering this service! Thank you!

Launch a Video Chat Room similar to Zoom, Meet, and others. But unlike others, Proton can apply the best encryption and security.

Great idea! Integrating secure voice and video calling into ProtonMail would be a huge step forward for privacy-focused communication. As someone who works with high-quality video and image processing tools like VSCO for Mac (https://bestvscoapk.com/mac
), I can say seamless media handling with encryption is key to modern creative workflows. -

Yes, it was an odd way to release. I stumbled across it and had to work out what was going on apart from a minimalist single page.

Exactly. If the Proton suite included that meeting feature, a browser, and a messenger, it would be perfect. I know there are alternatives, such as Zoom for meetings, Mozilla for browsing, and other options for messaging, but using everything in a single trusted platform is better for me.

A Skype (defunct) and Google Voice competitor is going to be hard to do, for those were/are free for simple use case scenarios. MS Teams doesn't fill the bill as a Skype replacement either. I'm using Google Voice, currently--there is no better free option, IMO. I have a feeling that Proton Meet is going to be a Teams-like thing (and Zoom... etc.) rather than a Voice-like thing. I have no use for that.
