I would definitely make use of a generic URL shortening service provided by Proton that could provide security features it already affords to other services such as: optional password or expiration by date and/or view count.
Similar request here: https://protonmail.uservoice.com/forums/932839-proton-drive/suggestions/50931542-easy-to-share-links-for-shared-folders-and-files where the shortening service would also apply to Proton Drive items (which looks to already be implemented for the most part).

Isn't this functionality provided by Proton Mail Bridge (https://proton.me/mail/bridge) ?

Being able to use Proton Docs as a wiki-like documentation system would be nice, especially if the the only main "feature" that needed to be implemented were the ability to hyperlink to other documents/files stored on Proton Drive.
Working through my normal workflow (not even thinking about wiki-type documentation), I've been presented with a situation where it would have been very useful to be able to link to another document within the document I was currently working in and allow the user(s) who have access to the documents be able to use the hyperlinks (assuming they have appropriate permissions) would have provided a much more streamlined and smooth experience.

Within Proton Drive, you're presently able to create a shared Public Link to documents and folders which is for the most part reasonably "shortened" as-is. Additionally, you're able to set a password and expiration date for the link which is a great feature!
For context, here is a SAMPLE (i.e., non-working) URL generated by the current system in place: hxxps://drive.proton.me/urls/25r0PvM2wW#WzJu0ntg3cxW
To me, this is shortened enough for pretty much most practical purposes I can think of.
Per-user vanity links might be a desirable feature for some, which I think you might possibly be alluding to.
