Integrate Standard Notes Premium plan with Proton Unlimited
Hopefully I'm not being greedy, but wouldn't it be possible to integrate the premium features of Standard Notes, which are absolutely brilliant, with Proton Unlimited? In my opinion, it feels appropriate now that SN is part of the Proton family, and, in fact, it already works that way in the case of SimpleLogin.

As a Proton Duo subscriber, I would like this same feature enabled. I currently use Google's note and list products however, Google recently (Nov 2025) MASSIVELY ramped up their "Automatic Opt-In" settings whereby ALL Google free and even enterprise subscription plans for individual services (like people who only use Gmail) and people/companies who use Google Workspace have been automatically opted in to settings that permit Google's Gemini AI to access all of our emails, Drive Files, Keep Notes, Task Lists, and every other portion of Google to help train its AI. They didn't even ask, they just auto enrolled millions of clients including business and enterprise class accounts. This is malicious and predatory and I am trying to move everything i can into Proton's ecosystem.

I want to get rid of Samsung Notes....and waiting for access to Standard Notes from my Proton Unlimited account

That’s a fair point! It would make sense to bundle Standard Notes’ premium features with Proton Unlimited, just like SimpleLogin. It’d offer more value and a smoother experience for users within the Proton ecosystem.

I think this fits into the request of renaming it and rebuilding it into proton notes. If they do that, then it'll be in the unlimited plan, it'll be better than standard notes, and you'll be able to login with proton.

What's the point of “joining forces” if they remain two completely separate products with no connection whatsoever? There is no joining of forces.
This would make the Unlimited Plan radically good, worthwhile. -

Including Premium Notes in Unlimited Plans should have been a priority from the beginning. Proton no longer seems to appreciate how much all of the Proton Unlimited subscribers have done to support all these efforts. Most have been paying a substantial amount for the plan. And we have also been very patient over the years, because many features have not functioned well when first introduced. In some cases, it took a long time for Proton to iron out basic functional issues, while we continued to pay for full access. So, the suggestion is to return to making Proton Unlimited truly an UNLIMITED plan. As someone else mentioned, what is the point of paying for an Unlimited plan if we are only eligible to the free options for features? And why wouldn't an Unlimited plan have access to Scribe? I have been an Unlimited subscriber for many years, and paid thousands of dollars toward the service. Please stop trying to push paying subscribers into the Duo plan just to have access to features which an individual plan should also have equal access. It's time to fairly recognize our loyalty which helped Proton grow and add additional services to the portfolio.

Proton should allow Unlimited subscribers premium access to Standard Notes.

I agree with illousion. I’m already a paid Proton User, and would have jumped immediately to SN plan when I first heard about it. I use notes multiple times per day, but I found that fee is really high, especially already paying for a very valuable digital suite I get with Proton. I haven’t joined yet but am holding out until it’s part of the Unlimited plan I’ve been on for the last 5 years.

This would be great. I don't need additional storage from standard notes plans or additional sync features because proton drive does that for me. I only need the ability to write .md notes and sync them and I feel like 81$/Year is a bit much if I already pay for proton unlimited

Proton Docs intégrates mainly simple documents whereas Standard Notes allows the creation of xls tables and more... So YES it would be great to integrate Standard Notes. Thank you !!

It might seem like a great idea, but given they have already invested time and money on proton docs which is integrated into proton drive not sure if they will ever do this.

I’d love to see Standard Notes integrated into Proton. Ideally, it should use Proton Drive storage and allow account management via the Proton platform. Of course, SSL should be enforced for all connections.
As not every user may need this feature, it doesn’t have to be included in all plans. However, the price should reflect existing Proton subscriptions and offer a better deal than the standalone Standard Notes product.

Hello,
Please find attached a copy from the r/ProtonMail AMA from Andy Yen:
Actually we're interested in the community feedback here. There was a lot of pent up demand for Proton Docs so we prioritized getting that out first and are now focused on further improving Proton Docs. Given the choice between putting resources between further improving Proton Docs or integrating Standard Notes with Proton Accounts, it's not exactly clear what is more valuable to the community. So unfortunately I don't have an answer here as we haven't internally decided yet either, but we will take on community feedback as we work for you. -Andy

I believe that we all agree that Proton Docs is a complete disjointed disaster.
However, Proton AG acquired one of the best note-taking and document-creating application that exists today, 'Standard Notes'. So, why not integrate it, immediately?

probably wont happen for a long time. my guess maybe 3-5 years. Standard Notes is essentially an island. other than protondocs, it is not connected in any way to other proton app. Simplelogin is very close to mail and both have functionality in pass that it makes they got so quickly integrated.

I’d love a proton integrated standard notes app that takes my Proton subscription into account. I’d like to replace Apple notes with it!
