Archiving in protonmail.com should automatically open the next message
Currently, if you are archiving a message (via button or shortcut) then the "read panes" (opened email) is left blank and you need to manually click on the next email. It would make sense for the application to automatically select the next message in the current folder. This would allow one to quickly archive a bunch of messages by pressing A repeatedly.
I know that you can remedy this somewhat by using keyboard to move to the next message and open it, and archive but it makes very little logical sense to not automatically open the next message.

Stop hiding Contacts! And Stop Bundling Emails!
1) Please create a CONTACTS option & place it in a permanent, visible, location at the top of the page, or in the column under New Message. It used to be visibly listed with other options. (That worked!) Now it is almost impossible to access the contacts list. We should not have to open NEW MESSAGE and HOPE that the icon appears!
2) Please give us the option NOT to bundle incoming emails. It is cumbersome an frankly, annoying! I would much prefer to open each new email without negotiating the entire oeuvre of correspondence.4 votes -

Keep Messages in Sent/Drafts by default
This setting should be set by default because I have been using protonmail for years thinking that they never figured out how to use the sent box properly because it would never show the messages I sent and it was very frustrating. I finally found this in the settings and it does what I think a sent box should do by default

Ability to view original email for forwarded emails
Don't know if in description wrote understandable
There is one one thing with Protonmail- I need to make a certain screenshot for the court, but after I have resend that particular e-mail I can not open it as state institution it sent to me

Option to Change Date Format
I would like a way to change the date format to under English language (or any other) as the default is set to MM/DD/YYYY. Not all countries or individuals use this format.
Other formats I would like to see:

Pop-up from performing actions shouldn't block upcoming emails
It is frustrating when deleting emails the "Conversation moved to Trash" bar covers further emails. Can that bar appear above and not block the

I would like to be able to send files (either individual or batch-selected) from the Proton Drive UI to other applications.
For example: Google Drive's UI allows one to select one or more files and send them as attached files in a Discord chat.

ProTube Or ProtonTube
Well with all the services proton offers now i’ve been able to get away from google and microsoft services completely…. Except for one we all gotta have because it’s really so massive it’s in a league of its own . That is youtube ! It’s the last link i have to have to google . 3rd Party Drive API/SDK
I would like to see a restricted API service for 3rd party for storing structured/unstructured data within a user's Drive. This would be sandboxed but accessible by the user. This would allow the user to store and manipulate PII data via a third party authorized to access the API by Proton. Proton would be able to capture value by charging a licensing/subscription fee for access to the API. To ensure integrity, Proton would require third parties submit routine security audits to maintain access.

Unify email domains for interchangeability
@protonmail.com and @proton.me should have a shared registration so that emails to both go to the same user, or emails to either are forwarded to the orginal selected domain.
This also mitigates phishing, as currently a John@proton.me scammer can send phishing/social engieering attacks posing as legitimate John@protonmail.com
Either combine them, or make them vastly different so as not to be confused
Also allow claim of deleted/deactivated accounts if the name is shared between @protonmail.com and @proton.me

print whole conversation
Print conversation : I would love to see a feature that allows a neat print of a whole conversation / thread. The workaround is : printing the last email in the conversation. But it can result in an awfull bunch of brackets at the beginning of lines

Security model parity between web and mobile
When I log in to Proton Mail on my mobile I'm logged in only in Proton Mail app. When I log in to Proton Drive app — same story. I can be logged in to one, the orther or both, but even then have secured Drive app additionally with PIN/biometrics. This is awesome, because if my unlocked device falls into the wrong hands somehow then the person wouldn't have access to all my files I store in Proton Drive as it would be either locked or logged out. This is important to me personally because I have a chronic illness…

Single message viewing option
I love having an encrypted email option, but the protonmail client layout is frustratingly nonintuitive. The fact that you can't look at just a single message and see the attachments with it makes it easy to overlook unexpected attachments and hard to find what you're looking for. Once there's a thread, finding what you're looking for can become a frustrating, time-consuming task where you're clicking back and forth between collapsed items and eventually losing your place and having to go back to the mailbox view and start again from the top.
