  2. Proton OS

I know it is too much, but it would be great,to see ProtonOS, similar to tails, with implemented VPN/Proxy,Proton browser, mail, access to onion, etc. Not only for geeks, but for simple people too, like accountant, secretary, writer.. you get the idea.
I believe it will have a great success, as already now people already dream about it.

Put Protonmail in a decentralized place where not even the Swiss gov. can't shut it down and Hashgraph or Blockchain similar technology would be great for it if somehow possible and make it open source.

  6. Support autocrypt for messaging with non-protonmail addresses

Autocrypt is easy to setup, so people are likely to use it more than plain PGP. ProtonMail should have autocrypt configured automatically (for non-protonmail addresses) since there's nothing users can lose by using autocrypt.

Both companies based in Switzerland, both companies have similar goals and standards in terms of privacy and security. pCloud, pMail, pVPN... all goes hand in hand.

  11. No Data Retention, no logs, and more transparency.

Things that should have been here.

Protonmail needs to be more transparent in the same way as it is expressively transparent, when it says that its service is hosted in Switzerland.

    Why?

There are things we should not ask to do as we do here on this list, ask for encrypted data where it should already have, major keys etc.

These things should already be in place and not be something on demand.

Protonmail has an easier to use interface, but that does not mean it's not as accurate in privacy as it should be.

In this summer I bought an iPhone case from your store. I loved it very much. Stunning and high quality, the BEST iPhone case I've ever seen since 2009. Now I've got my iPhone X, please let me buy one for my iPhon X. I've emailed to shop at protonmail.com but no reply. Thanks.

  15. Proton Photos

It would be fantastic to make a full switch from google. This includes mail and storage, primarily photos. It would be good to pay for storage to store apps and sync photos to them knowing that they are secure.

  16. federation

    Protonmail should be federated.

Why has it never been discussed? It seems silly that Protonmail only works with Protonmail, there should be a open federated standard all encrypted email providers can use together.

In a perfect world, you could use easy automated encryption between providers like Protonmail, Tutanota and Mailpile. You would even be able to easily host your own email server that adheres to this standard.

    Please make it happen.

  18. Remove social media links from ProtonMail website

Social media links are used for tracking.
People can still share about ProtonMail without using social media links.
I hope social media links don't end up in users email accounts.

  19. Work with Tutanota so ProtonMail and Tutanota users can communicate privately

The resulting larger set of people that can communicate with each other would benefit both services and their privacy. The more people that are available for encrypted mail, the more people are willing to invest time to switch.

    Website: https://tutanota.com/
    Tutanota is open source: https://github.com/tutao/tutanota

  20. I would appreciate somewhere a listing of accessibility tips for folks with low vision.

I find the web font readable and love the fact that ProtonMail does not get totally screwed up if I enlarge the screen (ctrl+). If you've ever had to "reset" your browser due to uneven enlargement, you know what I am talking about! I am surprised that there is no "help" category called "accessibility." That said, maybe those of us affected could compile of list of tips and tricks we found useful. I personally just discovered keyboard shortcuts are turned on by default. This explains why emails disappear into thin air. Save yourself a headache and go turn that off!…
