1. Named Sessions

   Named Sessions:

   It is challenging when using different vpns or when cache clears to connect to a single session.

   I end up having to login and clear sessions constantly, even with defined exceptions for cache because depending where I am the PC uses a different VPN.

   It would be cool to be able to connect to a predefined session via some key or token or whatever mechanism may work to identify and authenticate a unique session beyond cookies.

   That way you could have explicit sessions, and not have to worry about wondering if 1 of the 50 sessions that is created was not you, and so you don't constantly have to clean up sessions.

3. Let us use Proton as a login option on third-party websites (OAuth/SSO)

   Right now, most websites let you sign in with Google, Facebook, GitHub, or Microsoft. Sure, it's convenient, but these companies literally track everything you do across the web.

   I think Proton should offer something similar - a "Sign in with Proton" button that works like those other options, but actually respects our privacy. It would use standard OAuth 2.0 / OpenID Connect, so any developer could easily integrate it.

   Why this would be awesome:

   No tracking or data mining from Big Tech companies

   Fits perfectly with Proton's privacy mission

   One secure account for multiple services (with our existing 2FA)

   Gives developers a privacy-focused alternative

   Strengthens the whole Proton ecosystem

   How it could work:

   Standard OAuth 2.0 / OpenID Connect implementation

   Only share the bare minimum (email, maybe name if we choose)

   2FA protection inherited from our Proton account

   A dashboard to manage which apps have access

   Proper documentation for developers

   This would position Proton as a real alternative to the current authentication giants and make it easier for people to move away from Big Tech without sacrificing convenience.

4. LaTex rendering in Lumo

   When using Lumo in my web browser (both Firefox and Librewolf) LaTex does not render properly. For example, Lumo returned the following:

   [ x^T A x \geq 0 \quad \forall x ]

   instead of the actual LaTex rendering.

   It would be nice if you could have Lumo actually render this.

6. Ability to categorize email aliases

   Scrolling through the long list of aliases is cumbersome. The ability to group by category, possible with some visual separation either by grouping or color or icon category would make this easier to use and more functional.

8. Feature Request: Quick Language Toggle Button in Proton Docs Toolbar

   Hello Proton Team,

   I love using Proton Docs for its privacy and security, but I’ve encountered a workflow friction point when writing in mixed languages (specifically Danish and English).

   The Issue: Currently, changing the spell-check/autocorrect language requires navigating deep into the global account settings (Settings → All settings → Language and time). For users who frequently switch between languages within the same session or document, this is disruptive and breaks the writing flow.

   The Request: Could you please add a quick-access language toggle button directly to the Proton Docs formatting toolbar?

   Proposed Functionality:

   A small dropdown or icon in the toolbar (perhaps near the spell-check icon) that lists the user's recently used or favorite languages.
   Clicking it would instantly switch the spell-check and autocorrect context without leaving the document or opening the global settings menu.
   Ideally, this would remember the last used language for the specific document or session.
   

   This small UI addition would significantly improve the experience for bilingual and multilingual users without requiring complex multi-language spell-checking logic.

    2 (or more) classes of passwords. One set requiring Master password one set NOT requiring Master Password.

12. Package shipment tracker for ProtonMail

    Feature Request: A package shipment tracker that detects tracking information in emails and automatically tracks shipments, sending update notifications to the user through a separate Proton Tracking app, similar to the Shop app (by Shopify). This would send notifications on iOS and Android phones alerting about when a package has shipped, when it has been delivered, when a shipping label was created, etc. And it would provide a map with updates when a package is enroute.

14. Add "Move existing conversation to a Project" feature

    Background

    Projects were introduced with Lumo 1.3 to centralize conversations, files, and instructions around a specific topic. It's a great feature for maintaining context and working in an organized way.

    However, there is currently no way to move an existing conversation into a Project. This limitation makes Projects useless for any work started before they existed, and forces users to lose the historical context of their exchanges.

    Why this is critical

    1. Context loss: A Project should gather all discussions related to a topic. Without being able to migrate older conversations, the Project remains incomplete and Lumo cannot access the relevant history.

    2. Frustrating for proactive users: Many users create Projects after the fact because they realize their conversations are scattered. They want to organize existing work, not just start fresh from now on.

    3. Major productivity impact: Without this feature, Projects lose their core value — being a continuous workspace with complete memory.

    Concrete use case

    • I've had 15 conversations about my marketing strategy project since January
    • I create a "Q1 Marketing Project" today to centralize everything
    • I cannot move these 15 conversations → I have to recreate everything or lose the history
    • Result: I lose context, I have to re-explain everything to Lumo

    Proposed solution

    Add at least one of the following options:

    1. Context menu: Three-dot menu on a conversation → "Move to Project" → select target Project
    2. Drag & drop: Drag a conversation from the sidebar list onto a Project
    3. Long press (mobile): Context menu with "Move into project" option

    What we know is possible

    This feature already exists in other AI assistants (Claude Projects, etc.). It's technically feasible since a Project is simply a logical organization — not a physical copy of data.

    Expected impact

    ✅ Reorganize existing history into structured workspaces
    ✅ Maintain complete context memory per Project
    ✅ Maximize the value of Projects for all users, not just new work

15. Privacy-conscious age verification application with double anonymity (and ideally on-device, zero-knowledge, and open source)

    Governments around the world, especially in Europe, are currently enforcing age verification for social media and other online platforms, in the name of protecting minors. The idea is commendable, but the way it is being done requires users to provide identification to a “trusted” third party and, above all, to link their real identity to their online identity, which completely undermines privacy. We have witnessed enough leaks lately to know that this data will eventually leak if it is stored.

    Proton could develop an age verification (or more generally, identity verification) application that could be used on social networks (or on Discord, to take something that is currently in the news) and allow users to prove the requested information (in this case, age, to use my example) without having to reveal their identity. The ideal solution would be an application with an on-device process, zero-knowledge proofs, double anonymity, and, if possible, open source. Without a database, there would be nothing to hack or leak.

    Proton has the expertise for this type of application and also the trust of its community. Even a partial implementation of the above requests would already be a big step forward compared to what is currently available on the market.

16. TODAY in Proton Sheets DatePicker

    3 Minor improvements for Proton Sheets DatePicker (hopefully quick wins)

    • In the DatePicker, add a button called Today, that automatically changes the selected date to Today.
    • In the DatePicker, the selected date is highlighted, Today's date should also be greyed, dotted, circled (see google sheets)
    • Elsewhere, in any cell, add CTRL + ; as a shortcut to insert Today's date.

17. Single Linux yum repo for all Proton apps

    Right now the Proton VPN can be installed from a Linux yum repo. For example: https://repo.protonvpn.com/fedora-42-stable/
    This is great, because to update it, all I have to do is run "sudo dnf update", and if there is a new version of Proton VPN available, it gets updated.

    However, all the other Proton Linux apps (Pass, Authenticator, and the Mail beta) get installed by individual rpm downloads. Which means, if I want to update them, I have to download each rpm individually and re-install it to get the upgrade.

    There should be one single yum repo for ALL proton apps, so that after you install the repo, you can easily install and update any proton app via a single "sudo yum install" or "sudo yum update" command.

    I miss a way to interact with comments here on Protons uservoice community.
    Sometimes i would like to upvote or show my support to a user-comment on the different ideas. A simple feature like upvote/downvote, to interact would be nice, and i imagine it would give developers more substance to work with as well.
