All in one desktop app
I wish instead of having 5 different services all on different platforms, all being separate entities, I wish all of the Proton Services were on one menu and one program I can download. Having to open 3 tabs for Mail, Calendar, Drive, then open an Extension or another Tab for Pass, and then a separate program for the VPN is EXTREMELY F**CKING FRUSTRATING! It's so hard to navigate.
If all of this was on one program you can download to manage all of this - Life would be miles better.

Linux supported equally
Linux is very popular among privacy concerned users, who make up a large chunk of Proton's userbase. However, Proton fails to provide any solid Linux apps and frequently leaves them unmaintained or released years after the initial product launch. Proton should make Linux a first-class platform, with proper support from day one.

Encrypted Internet over Starlink
Added protection and encrypted services over the Starlink network. This would provide a value-added feature to Starlink for those who need the added level of encryption from a trusted provider.

Allow user to directly login to uservoice with their proton account
It felt a little silly that I was offered options to login immediately with Facebook or Gmail, but not with Proton account. Uservoice should feel like it belongs to the same service ecosystem.

The total revamping of onboarding guidance
Proton currently fails to guide you as a new user. I've introduced some people into my Visionary plan recently and realized that there's very little comprehensive guidance of switching into the ecosystem. This should be a defined workflow from Proton if they want to market themselves as an ecosystem.
Here's how you import, sort your emails and set up filters.
Here's how you import passwords, set up aliases, 2FA and migrate to Proton, while keeping backups so you don't lose data.
Here's how you can switch to Proton Drive, set things up and here are our suggested workflows.

Version française du mot "Archives" dans la version française de Proton Mail
La version français du dossier Archives en français est "Déplacer vers les archives", au lieu de tout simplement "Archives". Je vois pas pourquoi on ajoute le verbe Déplacer ici.

Zero Reliance on Web/Browser Interface
Please have full versioned, fully functional (including anything you can do in the online version including settings, mailbox rules, etc: full parity) locally installable programs for all products or that includes multiple products (Mail app that has Drive, Meet and Calendar and a pass/auth/wallet maybe) that is completely usable when offline and will resume any queued emails in outbox or shared files or updated events, etc. once internet service resumes. Not everyone has persistent internet due to things like geographical location or security protocols. Additionally, should be able to configure Drive to be utilised in the programs of choice like…

Please give Android apps access to Proton Drive.
As the title says, the apps on Mt Android phone can't access files on Proton Drive. I store ebooks files, sound files, etc that I want to access with their respective apps, but there's no way to do so.

Offline editing support for Proton Docs files on Proton Drive apps.
In 2024, a suggestion for introducing offline editing support for documents in general on Proton Drive was published (see https://protonmail.uservoice.com/forums/932839-proton-drive/suggestions/48610982-offline-editing-support-for-documents-in-proton-dr).
I think this suggestion, while somewhat different, is now ever more critical with the introduction of Proton Docs in late 2025.
Please do, however, indicate whether this suggestion is best merged with the specified previous suggestion.

Integration support for funny emoji stickers for imessage in mobile app
It would be a great feature if Proton Mail for iOS supported a dedicated picker for funny emoji stickers for imessage. Adding more visual flair to secure emails would improve the user experience significantly. I’ve been working on a collection of these assets which you can see here for reference: http://funnystickersforimessage.com/

Phone Generated One-Time Codes Instead of Passwords
Instead of password-protected, when sending an encrypted email or a drive folder, add the recipient's phone number so they receive a one-time access code.
Currently, using passwords to read encrypted emails or drive links requires sharing the password somehow. Such as sharing it in an email body or via a one-time link from Proton Pass. It'd be great to have an access process that the recipient can complete on their own without having to create new passwords.
One of the reasons to use Proton is to share sensitive data that isn't frequently moved. A belt and suspenders system in which…

UX Design Critique: Proton App Icon System
UX Design Critique: Proton App Icon System
Overall assessment
This icon set fails the core job of an app launcher: enabling fast, pre-attentive recognition. A user opening this switcher cannot identify apps without reading labels. That's a fundamental usability failure, not a stylistic preference.
Color hierarchy is broken
Eight of ten icons sit in the same purple-blue-pink gradient family. Color is the fastest channel in visual perception — processed pre-attentively in roughly 200ms, before shape recognition kicks in. By collapsing eight apps into one hue family, Proton has eliminated its strongest recognition signal.
The two exceptions (Docs blue, Sheets green)…

Add a "Proton Docs" category to the forum
Currently, Proton Docs lacks a dedicated category on this forum. This forces users to post Proton Docs feedback in the "General Ideas" forum, which could potentially slow down the app’s development. Therefore, I formally request that a dedicated category for Proton Docs be added to the forum. Thank you for your attention and your valuable time.

Consider using Obtanium to support GrapheneOS and other Android derivatives
Consider using Obtanium to support GrapheneOS and other Android derivatives for the distribution of Android Apps.
I am a privacy focused Proton customer and I have recently switched to GrapheneOS. Obtanium is a small Android App that helps to track app updates across the web; ao. directly from Github. Please consider a rebranded Proton version of Obtanium, or some other affiliation. The payoff is twofold:
- As a Proton user I can install Android apps directly and track updates. Both good things.
- Affiliation would mean that a non Google Playstore gets some security backing. This would be great to…6 votes
