  1. catch-all address can be a group

Currently the catch-all address can only be a single user. It would be handy to be able to forward catch-all messages to a group of addresses, any of whom can deal with it.

  2. A account wide, global, "Don't annoy me" toggle.

When enabled, No "Security advice" will be shown in UI like suggesting that I add my phone number under recovery. No "Upgrade to this next big plan". No "Almost at limit, upgrade to business".

Just let me use the service without having to close 10 popups and read 15 warnings all trying to push me to buy a business plan or apply settings that are I am not interested in. I already paid what I think is good, and have already setup what I think is good.

Stop it, let me live in peace.

  3. Display/show disk/storage space usage details

Various apps likely shows a disk space usage, for example ProtonMail desktop app in the bottom-left corner. Clicking it, I would assume to see the details on where the disk space is used, so i can potentially delete some content.

User should be able to see the list of services and its disk space usage, click the service with high usage to see even more details, being able to realize what to delete/cleanup. For example if it is Mail, show the list of largest folders and its sizes. Clicking folder would open it.

  4. Proton Authenticator Theme

Right off the bat, Proton Authenticator's theme and aesthetic design honestly leave something to be desired, and it feels somewhat less like the clean cut look like Proton typically has. I think if it were actually themed after Pass it would look more attractive, and TOTP items lined up in Pass look really good - along with the countdown coloring. Just more TOTP dedicated in Authenticator's case with a site icon in place of the item icon, etc.

  5. Proton Mastodon Instance

Proton always seeks European options and creation. With the creation of a Mastodon instance a European‑hosted tool on a European server it provides a social and scalable option alongside Proton’s other tools.

  7. standard notes: Note sharing

    I have a suggestion.
    Sharing notes with someone else.

    Short explanation:
If 2 users are using standard notes it should be possible to share notes between them.
I can choose to share a note with another user.
That other user can see the note between their own notes. They can hide the note if they want to.

I think it would be best to work with an email.
So if I decide to share it an email will be sent to the other user where he/she can accept the invitation and the note appears in their standard notes. The editing…

  8. Windows: Open ics file should create the event automatically in Proton Calendar

It is not currently possible to set Proton Calendar as default calendar app on Windows.

An easy workaround would be to set Proton as the default app to open .ics file, so that double clicking on a downloaded ics file opens it in Proton Mail/Calendar and adds the event. At the moment the only way is top drag & drop the file on Proton Calendar, which is annoying when done from the web browser.

  9. Build an interface to allow simple encryption of locally stored Proton Mail messages

Capability to search content of ProtonMail messages currently seems to depend on storage of the messages on a local drive, in plaintext form. A PM user could locate the messages storage location, manually encrypt that directory, and then decrypt it when a detailed message search is required, remembering to encrypt again upon completion of the search operations. But this seems like tedious work that could be automated. Perhaps an interface could be built between the ProtonMail search function and encryption software, so that the user would only have to enter a password, or otherwise authenticate the use of encryption software,…

  10. Better handling of app URIs

iOS and other mobile devices still struggle to process app URLs correctly. Very often, instead of opening the relevant app, instead a Web browser or app store launches, presenting completely useless, generic views.

Accordingly, it would be really helpful were the various Proton platform mobile apps, to check the scheme of URI's to see if the OS has a registered app, and open those directly, rather than attempt to launch the URI directly in a mobile or embedded browser.

This UX quirk happens basically every single time a mobile app URI appears in Proton Mail or other Proton apps.

  11. Tails OS and Proton AG

I'll address this as a problem, not an opinion. First, the Proton Pass and Proton VPN Tor (Firefox) extensions don't work at all on Tails OS, and no Linux apps, especially Proton Mail Bridge, work properly (in .deb format). I know Tails OS is a Linux distribution focused on security and high-level privacy, but Proton and its privacy mission are excellently supported. My journalist colleagues and I have been using Proton Mail for a long time, and it's an indispensable service for us. I urge the Proton team to address this issue as soon as possible. If possible, contact Tails…

  12. Create slim version for compatibility to old browsers

Proton makes updates to their service time by time and every update breaks compatibility with a large old version browsers and systems. They do not consider that all hardware cannot work smoothly with latest OS versions and therefore, they have to use older browsers.

In addition, some browsers which have many advantages over other browsers regarding stability and performance -like seamonkey- are not supported by proton at all.

I know their reasoning is "update for security" but experience shows that servers who rely on day to day update are less secure because they do not informed well about security principals…

  13. Proton App

This may be a tall ask, and i know this may not even be something that most would want from Proton, but a single app containing all Proton services, also providing a way to easily secure/manage your Proton account as well with a custom UI instead of the standard web version.

  14. screen sharing for helping friends and family, fix there computer from a far..

Proton VNC or something.. Like "AnyDesk" but way more secure to help securely, connect two or more computers, for tech support, etc.. so you can help fix peoples computers, etc...all under the Proton label..
could have a built in VPN (using your credentials) to connect directly to the other computer without the need of a server in between.. Peer-to-peer, Point-to-Point..
actually maybe you could build this into the VPN client software. but with a toggle switch to completely bock it..

  15. Report Phishing from Right Click Inbox

I've noticed that when a new phishing email comes into my inbox that doesn't get filtered automatically into spam when I right click before opening the email there is no option to report phishing. It's only when you open the email that the report phishing option appears.
Lately i've been receiving messages that contain what looks like code or some strange kind of encrypted code and an attached .sthml file

I would like to be able to report these emails as phising, eventhough im not sure what they are, directly from the inbox before opening the email. Of course I…

  16. Alternative distribution for apps & updates outside playstore & app store (not FDroid)

Having an official alternative to proprietary app stores is critical to guarantee privacy & a sovereign tech. Please explore alternatives outside F-Droid.

  17. Proton Sheets: date selector year input

There is already a date selector in Sheets (clicking a date in a cell brings up a date picker), but navigating back several years can be cumbersome because it only lets you scroll through the months. If it were also possible to change the year - either by typing it in or by scrolling through the years - that would be much faster. I know it’s possible to type the date, but using the date picker is far easier for me (if this year-thing would be solved).

  18. Feature Request [proton-mail-export-cli] Add --since and --filter-domain flags for scoped, incremental backups

    Summary

Love the export tool and use it for regular business backups. Two small additions to the CLI would make it significantly more practical for recurring and domain-scoped use cases: a --since flag to limit exports to a recent time window, and a --filter-domain flag to scope exports to a specific email domain.

    Proposed Flags

    --since DATE

Export only messages on or after a given date (ISO 8601).

    ./proton-mail-export-cli --operation backup --dir ./backup --since 2026-03-01

--since is the established convention for this pattern across tools like git log, journalctl, and most backup utilities, making it immediately intuitive.

  20. move Account settings in All settings to the bottom

When openingen All settings in either Mail, or Drive (web app) the items at the top are Account related. The settings related to the specific app (Proton Mail, Proton Drive) are at the bottom.
This is (at least for me) confusing, because at first look the menu is the same in Mail and Drive, allways pulling my attention to "Your plan" (my subscription) and "Download Proton Mail and Proton Calendar" when i want to change specific settings.

Is it possible to start the menu with the app specific items and move the Account items to the bottom ?
    Or to…
