1. Allow Proton Pass to autofill email 2FA codes sent to your Proton Mail account

   It would be super helpful if proton pass (through anywhere where you can autofill with proton pass) could autofill email 2FA codes sent to your associated proton mail inbox, and then delete or archive the email after you’ve autofilled the code. Maybe it could autofill only the most recent email 2FA code, and only for 10 minutes after it has arrived, and then it only prompts you to autofill that code one time. It would identify and differentiate the code box the same way as it identifies and differentiates a password box from a username box from a email address box (etc).

   Unified Proton Ecosystem:
   Lumen would seamlessly integrate ProtonMail, ProtonVPN, Proton Drive, and other Proton services into a single encrypted hub. This consolidation ensures that communication, storage, and browsing remain consistent, secure, and fully within Proton’s protected network — eliminating dependence on external services that compromise privacy.

   Privacy and Security by Design:

   Feature Request: proton — One CLI for All Proton Services (for Humans & AI Agents)
   Proton's suite of privacy-first services — Mail, Drive, Calendar, VPN, Pass, and Docs — is fragmented across separate apps with no unified programmatic interface. This makes it nearly impossible to automate workflows, build developer tooling, or integrate Proton services into AI agent pipelines.
   The ask is simple: a single, composable command-line interface — proton — that covers all Proton services under one roof.
   Why this matters
   Power users want to script their workflows. Developers want to build on top of Proton without reverse-engineering private APIs. AI agents need a stable, structured interface to interact with services on a user's behalf. Right now, none of that is possible in any official, supported way.
   A unified CLI would change that. Imagine: an AI agent that drafts and sends a Proton Mail message, saves an attachment to Proton Drive, and creates a calendar event — all in a single composable pipeline, fully under the user's control.
   Prior art
   Google has done exactly this with the Google Workspace CLI. It's a strong reference point for structure, subcommand design, and machine-readable output (--json, --quiet flags, exit codes).

   Making Proton's apps available on the app stores that Linux users use will make it easier and safer for users to find and download Proton apps and eliminate the risk of visiting sketchy websites to download the official Proton apps. 6. Proton Notes as a Complete Document and Knowledge System

   I would like Proton to develop a fully integrated, privacy-first note and document system within the Proton ecosystem that can serve as a true Evernote alternative.

   The key goal would be combining encrypted notes with embedded, searchable PDFs (including OCR) and structured folder organization in one unified system.

   There is currently no European solution offering this level of integration, security, and document workflow in a single platform.

8. Can a waiting room be included in Proton Meet permanent rooms?

   Problem: Currently, Proton Meet has permanent rooms that are great for recurring workflows (e.g., schedule management with EHR systems like Sessions Health). However, they lack a proper gatekeeper function. For users working under HIPAA regulations, a permanent link with only password gating is a liability. If a client joins five minutes early while a previous session is still active, they could accidentally "crash" a private meeting. This creates a significant privacy breach risk.

   Proposal: Introduce a Waiting Room / Lobby feature specifically for permanent rooms. The host receives a notification when someone attempts to join. Pending joiners remain in a "holding state" with a customizable message until the host manually admits them. Ideally, this would include a toggle ability allowing hosts to turn the Waiting Room on or off in the meeting settings.

   While Proton has a significant advantage with privacy by design instead of by promise, this current limitations is unfortunately enough to prevent Proton Meet adoption for this use case.

   It is great to have free formatting for note taking, but for document collaboration in the context of a company or even just because some documents have to be printed, it would be crucial to enable ON/OFF page formatting and navigation in Proton Docs. Provide few popular option for page size format (A4, A3, and US equivalent e.g. Letter, etc.) and allow for Portrait or Landscape display.

   Future features this could later enable (not the object of this request):
   * Page numbering.
   * Header/Footer for official company document templates.
   * Enabling a PPT/Slide style formatting in Proton Docs if A3 like style is available.

10. Enable Yubikey as a passwordless PassKey for logins

    I've been asking to turn on Security Key Passkeys for a few years now, I've got no idea what this sentinel stuff is about but its totally uneccessary. Passkeys using my Yubikey makes session cookies redundant let alone passwords. More platforms are moving over to it where I login using my Yubikey. Ironically this feedback form required a random password created when it didnt popup to save it in the browser. the point of Passkeys it makes passwords redundant.

    I CAN'T move my domain email from Google until I get Passkey with Yubikey support. Therefore stuck on free email. It's not worth me paying for it yet until I get that feature like I've had with my Google accounts for years.

11. Professional/Academic-level Writing Support in Proton Docs

    I am working hard to de-Google, de-Meta, de-Amazon, and de-Microsoft my life. I would love to switch my word processing needs entirely over to Proton Docs, but I need to write at a high academic level, including things like postdoc applications, journal articles, and books, and the support for that just isn't there, especially in things like footnotes and references/bibliographies. I know there are a lot of free alternatives to MS Word out there, like Google Docs, but I want to know for a fact that my writing won't be scraped for AI training.

12. shared workspace

    Shared workspaces would be nice because we have a drive and we're meeting soon. You can share files and chat with each other in a space where you can share files and chat with each other, like Teams/Sharepoint. We already have a drive, and we get meet soon. I think this will make it complete.

    I’ve seen multiple other users suggest this, but I would like to make a request. If this is done, I’d like for it to have features that would make it a viable alternative to discord. The community I am in that suggested this company to me is becoming wary of continuing to use discord, and we may start looking for an alternative shortly.

    Alphabet (Google) has abandonned their CO2e-neutrality pledge and schedule, because of the energy cost of AI.

    Now is the time to shine for Proton, by taking the vacant place that is offered!!

19. Doc outliner to Proton docs

    You can apply "Header 1" the title of the doc and subtitles but they are only visual, i would love to see a doc outliner on the side of the docs to be able to organize and skim through the doc without scrolling all the through 90 pages to what i need (Like google docs)

20. Black is the new purple - Let's make an OLED/AMOLED/ultra dark/black global theme for Proton apps and widgets

    I would love to see Proton develop a #000000 (100% black) theme, alongside the current options, that can be applied to all widgets and apps. It is a well-known fact that true black menus consume less battery and are easier on the eyes. However, for those of us who primarily prefer dark mode for the aesthetic, I would love to see an option to go all the way and make the entire Proton experience pitch black. It’s worth noting that there are already browser extensions available that provide a true black experience on web, so this request is primarily aimed at the iOS and Android apps.
