2026: Improve the functionality and GUI of the browser extension and the P.Pass web page.
Please focus your efforts on making the ProtonPass extension and web page more user-friendly and functional! Currently, both products are not at all intuitive and are quite clunky compared to others.
1) The Firefox extension:
If an unlock code has been set (with a 2-minute delay, for example) and you are simultaneously working on the ProtonPass web page, the browser extension will close after those 2 minutes. I believe the extension should remain open for various reasons as long as the web page window is open and not locked.
Simplifying the number of displayed elements as much as possible (normal…

Alias contact list usability
It would be useful to have some kind of address book for the contacts created under aliases in Proton Pass. When using aliases, it’s easy to add dozens of contacts, but it becomes difficult to find them later in the unorganized list when you want to send a message using an alias as the sender.

UI - Compact/Slim UI Mode for Browser Extension [Pass]
The current Proton Pass extension feels overly wide and "clunky" compared to the high-density, vertical design of Bitwarden, which prioritises utility over whitespace. By comparing the two, it's clear that Proton's use of large cards, heavy padding, and a wide two-pane layout reduces information density, forcing more scrolling and taking up too much screen real estate. I am requesting a "Compact Mode" toggle that slims down the extension width, reduces vertical padding in the "Autofill suggestions" list, and provides a more streamlined, list-based view for power users who prefer efficiency and a smaller visual footprint.

Initial "Personalize" pop-up supression
Every time I log into ProtonPass on a browser, I get the "Personalize: Make it your own" pop-up, that requires three clicks to go through. I am fine with the default settings, but I even tried making adjustments to the settings and the pop-up still shows up each time.
Please add a way for users who are not interested in changing their settings to not have to get the pop-up every single time! Having to click through this pop-up every time is annoying!

Copying a field should bump that entry to the top of the recent view
Right now, when I sort the entries in the vault by "recent," an entry is only bumped to the top of the list when it was recently autofilled, but sometimes the autofill doesn't work or I choose to copy & paste for whatever other reason, and I would like those to be counted as interactions that would push an entry to the top of the "recent" list.

Android's keyboard button feature change, pops up a pop-up window instead of open the app
On android, the button at the keyboard just opens the app, but in some cases it just takes you out of what you were doing, right? For example, logging in a game, it takes you out of the game when you're trying to look for the account through the button, and when you come back you're already out! Examples: Minecraft, requires Microsoft account, obviously, proton Pass shows you your Microsoft accounts through the keyboard, but sometimes doesn't show them all, so through the button at the right you open proton Pass, the problem is that takes you out of the…

Stop using IT Jargon
Stop using software geek jargon. Or at least, put an informational pop-up next to it to explain WTF the word means!
This is Proton's biggest problem. Not all of us are steeped in IT techno-babble to understand each feature's function.
Ex: "API Credential", "SSH Key", "Host/Port"... Ugh. Why do I need to do a google search every time I try to learn to use your apps!?
And while I'm at it: Do a better job at writing user manuals.
Yes, a written manual. Not a YouTube video!
Privacy shouldn't be this difficult.

Better handling of password fields with a maxlength attribute in the browser extension
Obviously having a password field with a relevantly small maxlength is already a strange choice, but some websites do this on their account registration forms, their password reset or recovery forms, and their login forms.
I'm not sure what the best handling of maxlength is for a password manager, but at a minimum drawing the user's attention to it and highlighting when we have saved or autofilled a password that does not fit in that maxlength would be good.
It creates a small security problem too, for users that use memorable (low entropy per character) passwords, they might prefer a…

Show one-time email verification codes directly in Proton Pass
Feature request:
I heavily use Proton Pass hide-my-email aliases to sign up for services (Tinder, Instagram, banks, stores, etc.). The current friction: whenever a site sends the 6-digit verification code (or confirmation link) to confirm the email address during signup or login, I have to leave Proton Pass, open Proton Mail, and hunt for the message.
Suggestion:
It would be a game-changer if these one-time email verification codes (usually 4–8 digits) were automatically detected and displayed directly inside Proton Pass — right on the alias card itself — without ever needing to open the mailbox.
Benefits:Instant code access →…

Proton Authenticator portable
Is it possible to have a portable version of Proton Authenticator?
I would like Proton Authenticator to be runnable directly from a USB drive, with no data stored on the host computer, and with all sensitive information securely encrypted inside the application’s own directory (e.g. <usb_drive_root>\ProtonAuthenticator.UserData\EncryptedUserData.db).
Other applications, such as Firefox, already provide a fully portable mode that can be executed entirely from a USB drive. Having a similar option for an authentication app would significantly improve security when using shared devices or when you don’t want to leave sensitive data on the system.
This feature would also make data…4 votes -
