Proton Authenticator freezes/crashes on Linux
Hello! I have no idea where to report this.
After a recent update on Linux Mint Xfce 22.3, entering my password after opening Proton Authenticator results in it freezing and then crashing.
I attempted to uninstall and reinstall the app, however it did not resolve the issue.It also appears that it's an issue happening across multiple Linux distributions, as reported in the comment section of proton-authenticator-bin package in the AUR: https://aur.archlinux.org/packages/proton-authenticator-bin

"Create Duplicate" option should create an identical duplicate including attachments
When creating a duplicate of an entry, it doesn't actually create identically same entry, because it strip off the attachments. I have to manually add each attachment, rename every single attachment once again for duplicated entry. Here's an example use case:
If I want to share a secure note with some of attachments after months, I wouldn't share the actual entry. Instead I would create an identical duplicate entry and check every field for validity. Proton Pass View Item History naming
proton pass premium users can see the previously modified history of passwords but I want that I can change name of specific previous version history to a specific name so that I can understand in that time my password was this , sometimes we need to know the previous Password but as of lof modifications of passwords finding a partical previous version is very very hard so please add this feature to rename previous modified history of passwords

Add a "snippets" text expansion feature
On the MacOS desktop version of 1Password it is possible to create "snippets" that are used for text expansion. I have come to rely on them and it is one reason I am hesitating switching over to Proton Pass.

Have Proton Pass automatically save Passkeys into it's own vault
I would like Proton Pass to detect when a new passkey is created and add it into it's own "Passkey" vault that was setup by default. I like it when my passwords and Passkeys are seperate. I know I can do it myself but if the process was automated that would be better.

Add SimpleLogin domains when creating aliases in Proton Pass
Please let us select SimpleLogin domains (simplelogin.com, aleeas.com, etc.) when creating aliases in Proton Pass. Also, allow them to be set as the default domain for new aliases.

Password login Each time it opens
I would use the Proton Pass password manager if it required a log in each time I open a new instance after closing the app. I don't like to hold my phone in a constant death grip to prevent people from accessing my accounts if I'm around acquaintances. My current password manager gives me peace of mind by requiring the password each time I open it, much like the banking apps do. A lot of websites require a security question, but you should make it so that users can add the security question to this amazing password manger, which would make it much more helpful for more complex logins.

Stay unlocked on Windows until screen locks
One option for Proton Pass and possibly other Proton applications on Windows (and perhaps other OSs) would be to offer staying unlocked until the screen/display locks. According to Lumo, it is possible for Windows applications to detect that the user's session has been locked:

Proton Pass iOS App: Default to newly entered login page after creation
When creating a new login in the Pass iOS app, the app returns to the master login list at the beginning of the alphabet upon completion/creation of a new login.
Typical user behavior is to create a new login, generate a password, and then use said login and password on a website or other app.
Current app behavior creates extra clicks/actions for users as users have to scroll back to their new login (or select the alphabet shortcuts on the right side) and then reopen their newly created login page in order to get back to their login and password.

Link Alias with its own Login
Currently, if you click on an Alias, it shows you a link to Create a Login. This is good, but after you create the login, it continues showing you the "Create Login" link.
The way it should work is after you create the login, it should tell you that there's a log in already for that alias. Alias should be linked to their own log in.4 votes -
Misleading UI: Password field mimics PIN entry
I noticed some UX friction while setting up a PIN for the Pass app. The initial screen requires an account password for authentication, but the UI is styled to look like a PIN entry field. This leads to confusion, as users may mistakenly try to set their new PIN here instead of verifying their identity. I’d suggest making the distinction between 'Password Verification' and 'PIN Creation' more visually clear.
Also, PIN and Password inputs are different I know that, but user does not see the PIN input at first so cannot distinct them.

Improved fields for ID
Add grouped fields to be able to registrer full details about one's identity assets :
- ID card : number, issue date, expiration date, country
- Social Security : number, country
- Driving License : number, issue date, expiration date, country
- Passport : number, issue date, expiration date, country, place of issue
- Tax number : number, online reg. number, country
- multiple addresses

Share single passkey instead of whole credentials
I would like the ability to share a passkey without sharing the whole credentials.

Add the device name to the Passkey record
It's impossible to identify a stored Passkey by the coupled device: You only see the related browser.
I would like to be able to determine the associated device, zo I can see which Passkey I can remove or where I have to generate one.4 votes
