Able to choose default Vault on launch
Sometimes I use my pc on open space where people might saw my vault when pass by (e.g: family), and my recent vault entries are abit confidential and it shows up every time I use the proton pass.
It would be good if we can choose which vault to show up on load rather than recent entries from all vault.

this is a critical function if you want to share vaults with other users. If not, there is a risk that you share passwords that you prefer not to share.

That's a really need function.
However, there is no option to set a default vault per device or browser.
Example use cases:
On my work laptop, the default vault should be “Work.”
On my personal phone, the default vault should be “Personal.”
This would greatly improve workflow and reduce errors, since I wouldn’t have to manually switch vaults every time.
Other password managers like 1Password already support this feature, and it would be very helpful to have it in Proton Pass as well.

Agree, I'd like to have all new logins which I don't select a vault explicitly for to en up in a "preselected" vault.
Perfect, to have an "Unsorted" or "New" which I later can scan och categories

I would really like for this to be a feature, or that all new entries go into a ”New”/”Unsorted” vault unless I actively pick a vault when generating.

When manually creating a new login it sometimes selects a shared vault. Because I assume that the Personal Vault is the one where the login is created I don't check this extra step.
I would like to be able to select a vault where every new creation gets automatically created in, so that I don't have to move it after I created it.

When I create a new alias, I’d like to to go to my “Aliases” vault. When I create a new login, I’d like it to go to my “Logins” vault (I know, creative naming), etc.
Right now, it seems that PP defaults to the last vault you used. -

In my case sorting works for passwords, I add manually. But if I'm on a registration form and Proton Pass prompts me to save the credentials, the shared vault is the default.

I think default is the first vault created with system, if you renamed it it will be default. So currently the best thing you can do is rename that back to Default :)

Indeed they are sorted. But the rest is wrong:
- real default vault is "Personal", even if you create some vaults with a letter under "P"
- my default vault is in the middle of the list. "Personal" is even before it ;)What happened in my case, is that I described above. I had to delete "Personal" to clean it (missing a "select all" feature), the "default" went to the next created vault availalable at the time.

Workaround: rename the vault. I discovered that the vaults are sorted alphabetically, and the first one is the default for new entries. Rename your vaults until the first one in the list is the one you want to use as default.

When creating a new entry in Proton Pass, the default vault is always the same, likely the one with the oldest creation date.
There is no way to choose the default vault when creating manually an entry. In most of the cases it'll be the "Personal" vault, but when the users deleted this one for a reason or another (I did it because it was the only way I found to delete the dozens of passwords I imported mistakenly in it), the default vault is another one, and sometimes a shared one (this is my case).
Beyond the inconvenience, this causes a security issue, because you may create by mistake a login entry in a shared vault instead of your personal one.
So, the same way we can choose the default vault where to store the auto created login entries, we should be able to choose the default vault where creating manually new entries (or alternatively this existing setting may be used in both places).
