Additional vault item types
Since I'm honestly too lazy to create multiple ideas I'll just post them as one, sonce they all are just different types or options of item types which should definitely be usable in proton pass, apart from log-ins, notes and the three other options:
1. Item types:
• Bank account
○ Bank name
○ IBAN
○ BIC
○ PIN
• Passkeys
• Identity incl.
○ Name
○ Surname
○ Middle name
○ Initial
○ Short name
○ Instagram name
○ Gender
○ Title
○ Birth date
○ Birth place
○ State
○ Company
○ Phone
○ Mobile phone
○ Address
○ Job title
• E-Mail addresses incl. application passwords
• Companies
• Wifi/Router data
• ID Card
• File upload (e.g. for tax certificates)
• Tax Number
• Tax ID
• Driver licence
2. Options for every Login item:
• Groups (should also be pickable/generatable directly when saving a new login)
• Tags (should also be pickable/generatable directly when saving a new login)
• Subdomain on/off switch (should also be pickable/generatable directly when saving a new login)
• Multiple log ins (Usernames and E-Mail) (should also be pickable/generatable directly when saving a new login)
3. Options under every item type:
• Custom fields with individually pickable custom names (Example: Field name: testfield, Value: test)
○ Text
○ URL
○ Date
○ Address
○ One Time Password
○ 2FA Backup
○ PIN
○ Application Password

yeah id like to be able to even build my own entry with other custom entry types while also being able to say remove the usename field if its not needed, ie an entry for a software license. i guess we dont need specific item types, just the building blocks for us to tailor each item to whatever it needs.
i do like the way 1password does its catch-all categories with CryptoWallets, Memberships, Software licenses. The other categories are fine and handle anything else in between thats not fine in a secure note for example. -

While Proton Pass is great for generating alias emails, it lacks an essential feature: a dedicated "username" field. Many websites require both an email and a username during registration, and often, these sites only accept the username login. This creates a frustrating experience in its automatic fill-in process.
to improve usability, Proton Pass should offer a feature that allows users to choose between filling in their email or username in auto-fill pop-ups. This would be especially useful for cases where the user sets up their login with both a username and an email, ensuring the correct credentials is used based on the website's login requirements.

To improve Proton Pass, we should consider adding support for storing digital identity cards such as ID cards, health insurance, and driving licenses. This feature could include fields like the card type, name, validity date, PIN code, and PUK. It would make it easier for users to manage important digital documents securely. For those in the UAE, managing your Emirates ID status is just as important, and you can check it conveniently through https://emiratesidstatuscheck.ae/ alongside keeping all these digital cards organized in Proton Pass.

We have ids, alias, card, note and password at this time. More fields like Documents, API Key, SSH and Bank account are welcome.

I really miss the ability to store software licenses in Proton Pass. Because of this, I have to use both 1Password and Proton Pass simultaneously

+1 This is absolutely demented. I can't add my AMEX because it has both a CVC and a "security code", which are distinct and used in different contexts. Fix this nonsense.

this is way overdue. I use my credit card and email on form ALL THE TIME

If I import from Bitwarden, I lose all custom fields in my notes.
Would completely switch if this wasn't a problem.
I want to use ProtonPass for the fast and snappy native app, but if Bitwarden releases their native Kotlin rewrite first then I lose all reason to switch.

This is absolutely essential to me, not just because I can't currently live without these logins, but because when I export my vault from 1pass to move over, I LOSE all that data.
So the best way to keep it is by using 1pass in favor of proton—until this gets done

The option to add multiple "tags" or "labels" to a password would be great. Having tags do a predictive display as you type would help with consistency. Of course, a search/list by tag would be needed too.

We need an item type, like Login, Card, or Note but that is Crypto Wallet specific. Managing a MetaMask account or Coinbase Wallet requires different credentials than a normal website, but then you might just have a wallet that isn't tethered to some product. I even have an ENS (ethereium name service) id that has other requirements. This would really help attract and ramp up adoption from web3 enthusiasts.

I like to use a password manager to store card info for all types of cards, e.g. library cards, rewards cards, identity cards, etc. It would be nice if we could create custom fields (like the "Add more > Text/Hidden" that is available for Login-type entries). Currently, I have to use the "Note" section to store all the card info that doesn't match up with credit card fields.

I think this, no folder and attachments are the only reason why i didn't move from Bitwarden. But maybe over time ProtonPass will be the most feature-rich open source password manager... But for now when i have so many crucial custom fields in just one login... it's a shame but I really hope that in future we see it :)
oh, now when i imported from curiosity my passwords, they show up in ProtonPass as a premium feature so maybe there is hope

Yes, it would be better if they allowed us to create "templates" with custom fields and we were not restricted to the templates they have, some of which are not customizable (like cards, you cannot add custom fields to that one).
So we can design a template we need (like the ones you are suggesting) and reuse them for other items of the same type.
Instead of they providing default templates (which are nice, they could even provide more such as templates for bank accounts and rewards - all with the ability to add custom fields).
But it would be awesome if a user could just create their own template to store whatever they need, in the form they prefer.
By the way, notes should be part of every template (like a field you could add or not depending on your needs).

Or they could just let people create their own templates which can be reused. This way everybody is happy.

It is essential to store which "Login-in" provider / SSO we have used to signup.
