2. Global Auto Type

   With the Mac app, the Linux version, and the Windows application, please give us the ability to set a global auto-type command like Control + CMD + P. This command should open a window where Proton Pass automatically types in the data, enabling auto-fill in non-web applications, similar to how KeePass does it.

4. Copy on click on IOS for all fields

   Manually added text fields (and others) do not automatically copy on click on iOS.
   When you click them sometimes the copy paste popop of ios is poping up, on iPad sometimes on top of the screen outside of the app. Please make all fields copy on click.

5. Protonpass + Simplelogin Premium End to End Encryption with Alias

   I should be able to use end to end encryption with Protonpass + Simplelogin for alias forwarding. I should be able to enter my Protonmail public key in SimpleLogin and have the email encrypted then forwarded to Protonmail. I can do this using Bitwarden & Addy.io SimpleLogin explicitly disables this PGP option for Proton Mail mailboxes, calling it redundant.

   If SimpleLogin permitted and properly implemented user-controlled PGP encryption using your Proton Mail public key before forwarding emails to Proton Mail mailboxes (in the same manner as Addy.io currently does), the integrated Proton Pass + SimpleLogin solution would become the superior option in a high-privacy threat model.

   In this hypothetical scenario, the Proton ecosystem would provide unified single-entity control under one trusted Swiss provider, handling both the alias relay and the final inbox. This would significantly reduce the overall attack surface compared to using two separate companies, as any subpoena or compromise would involve only one jurisdiction and one set of operational security practices.

9. Add Additional Family Members to Proton Pass Family

   For families with more than six members (we’re a blended family with over five children between us), it would be great to have the option of adding an extra licence or two at a proportionate, discounted rate to the family plan.

   I’m not expecting this to be free — I’m more than happy to pay the proportionate cost.
   What are Proton’s thoughts on this?

10. 2 Password issue

    Proton Pass is flawless in most regards, but has an issue with using 2 passwords to login to your Proton account. Proton Pass will only remember the second one until you log in again and then asks if you want to update your login info with the first password, only to ask you again if you want to update your login info after you enter the 2nd password, ad infinitum.

11. Proton Authenticator shares attack surface with Proton Pass account login — defeating its purpose

    I want to raise something that I think deserves more attention in the security design of Proton Authenticator.

    The current setup creates a single point of failure: if an attacker compromises your Proton account credentials, they gain simultaneous access to both your passwords and your TOTP codes stored within the ecosystem. This effectively collapses a two-factor authentication scheme into a single-factor one from the attacker's perspective — the eggs-in-one-basket problem.

    The core value proposition of 2FA is that credentials and the second factor exist in separate threat domains. When both live behind the same login, that separation is largely illusory.

    A meaningful mitigation would be to introduce a distinct, independent authentication layer specifically for accessing the 2FA/TOTP vault — for example:

    • A separate PIN or passphrase not tied to the main Proton account password
    • Hardware key (FIDO2/WebAuthn) required specifically to unlock the TOTP functionality
    • Biometric re-authentication at the app level before revealing or auto-filling OTP codes

    This would ensure that even a fully compromised Proton account doesn't automatically hand over the second factors protecting users' external services.

    This seems like a logical next step for a platform positioning itself as a security-first alternative. Curious whether others feel this gap is as significant as I do, and whether the team has plans to address it.

    EDIT: If there is indeed a way to accomplish this already, its not clear from the presentation of the feature and app that this is achievable, and should then be made a stronger focus point
    - a current lack of separation breaks the entire security model by putting all the eggs in one basket.

I also have a token with a completely different name (holding instead of actual company) which I would like to change into something that actually means something to me.

14. Pin an item to the top only in its source vault

    Currently, when we pin an item (alias, login, etc.), it is visible at the top while accessing any vault. This is valid behavior, but it does not cover all use cases.

    An additional option should be offered to pin the item only at the top of the vault where it is located. This often helps to organize things.

16. Additional information active sessions

    In the 'security and privacy'-section in the settingsmenu I would like to see a additional column called 'device'. Per active session you're now able to see 'App', 'Date' and 'Action' (revoke). But I'm not able to see which session is active on which device or browser. For example; I've Proton Pass on my Iphone 16 Pro and my iPhone 16se. But it's not visible, so I have to guess which is the right one. A extra column 'device' can help.

17. Show password as QR

    It would be really useful to display a stored password as a QR code for out of band password entry, on devices where I'm unable or don't want to install Proton Pass. Cases where I've done this manually with a QR generator app were entering parental control passwords on child devices, setting up new devices, using company computers, and temporarily signing someone into a friend's device.
