Hide indicator on Proton Pass browser extension
I don't like that Proton Pass's browser extension shows the number of logins available for a site. (On Safari, for reference.) I sometimes want to show someone something over my shoulder; they don't need to see I have multiple YouTube logins or things like that. Not to mention the red dot says "something is actionable" to me when, half the time, I'm already logged into the site. I don't see an option to toggle that off and would love one. Thanks.

Manual password Generator
there is no option to manually generate a password within the app (unless I am doing something wrong) - the https://proton.me/pass/password-generator - is nice, but clumsy to get to in some instances. Built-in one would be helpful.

Sort by created
Maybe I am blind but is there no function to sort the vault by created date? I have struggles searching for things because it always sorts it by last used. And the different types of sorting functions are not that varied. Is there no function for Sort by creation date?

More options for "Auto-lock after" and allow "Auto-lock after LAST USED"
1) More timing options:
Today the "Auto-lock after" has just a few options, I'd like to see a couple more other than
- 1min
- 2min
- 5min
- 10min
- 1hrMaybe add a couple more and allow a bigger upper limit:
- 30 minutes, 90 minutes, 120 minutes. I've seen some pass managers to allow up to 4 hours.
Or, just set an bigger upper limit and let the user give their own number between 1min and X hours (new upper limit)
2) Add option to "Auto-lock after LAST USED"
Example (using 1hr to Auto-lock):- Unlocked at 10am (set…

Extend custom fields to include existing field types
Currently, the available custom field types are quite limited (text, TOTP, secret, date).
I would like to see Proton extend the range of custom fields to include field types that are already supported elsewhere in entries, such as:
• Website / URL
• Password (which seems to be treated differently from a generic “secret” field)This would make custom fields more consistent, flexible, and aligned with how Proton already handles structured data. It would also allow users to better adapt entries to their specific needs without losing the benefits of type-specific handling (e.g. clickable links for websites, password-specific features like…

Expand CSV export for Pass
It does not seem to output the Vault name of items, nor can you choose a single vault to export, so if you have several vaults the output is a jumble and even includes the Trash!
I see Folders is on the 2026 roadmap so this would also apply to that -- make folder path a CSV output field.
While you're in there, if easy, add any other fields common to most Pass record types like Create Date and Updated Date.2 votes -
Adding new records when "all items" is selected
It's a little confusing about the current selected vault (or not selected) - both when searching and adding.
* When adding a new records while the "all items" (vault) is selected, it seems like it will be added to the last selected vault? I want one vault to be the default/main - to add new records to (regardless if I have the all items or a single vault selected). Now it is to easy the record ending up somewhere I do not want it.
* A search should be global (all vaults) unless I specifically filter to 1 vault. It…2 votes -
Shortcut to newly created records
When creating a new record in ProtonPass, a small "toast"/popup shows "record created.."
Make this clickable so when I click it, I will go to the newly created record.
This is important in my workflow where I create the record and then I need the information from the record to actually do whatever I do, for instance copy the email or password.2 votes -
Add another grade level of "Good/Average" in between "Weak" and "Strong" for password strength
As a security-minded IT professional, I'm finding myself confused that very similar passwords are considered "Weak" or "Strong". If I generate a 14-character random password with lowercase, uppercase, numbers and symbols, Proton marks about half of them "Weak" and half "Strong". Similarly, all randomly generated 16-character lowercase passwords are marked "Vulnerable", while increasing that to 17 chars results in all being marked "Strong". There seems to be some strange inconsistencies with the grading algorithm (see another user's request titled "Improve the Accuracy for the Weak Password Detection").
Regardless of user knowledge and experience level, and accepting for now the separate…

Show linked logins when viewing an alias
When viewing an alias, it would be useful if there was a viewable list of logins that the alias was linked to. Perhaps similar to how alias contacts works, you could select a logins button and you would see a list of logins that use the alias. Also, selecting one of the logins would take you to that login

Proton Pass Android: Integrate with KDE Connect
KDE Connect has a "Sync Clipboard" feature. Unfortunately, Android no longer allows passive watching of the clipboard due to privacy reasons, so KDE Connect requires a manual button press (via the Send Clipboard quick tile shortcut) instead.
This feature would possibly integrate with the KDE Connect app, syncing the clipboard immediately after I click to copy the code.

It would be great if I could import from the old Ascendo DataVault. It isn't on your list.
Allow the import of information from the old outdated Ascendo DataVault password manager. It isn't currently on your list. DataVault supports an export of CSV files but I don't know if they will work with Proton Pass.

Expand Proton Pass auto-lock duration options
Please expand the available options for the “Auto-lock after” setting in Proton Pass.
The current auto-lock duration options are too limited for users who want Proton Pass to stay unlocked longer on trusted personal devices while still keeping automatic locking enabled as a safety mechanism.
Suggested new options:
- 1 day
- 1 week
- 1 month
- Custom
For the Custom option, users should be able to enter a numeric value and select the unit:
- Minutes
- Hours
- Days
- Weeks
- Months
Example custom values:
- 12 hours
- 3 days
- 2 weeks
- 2 months
Why this matters:
Different users have different threat models. On shared or…

Option to hide some elements
I would like to have an option to prevent elements (logins, aliases etc.) to be visible in the central "recent" panel. It happens sometimes that others might see my Proton Pass open (e.g. when I need to copy a credentials while sharing a screen) and I don't want others to see I am using certain services or websites.
Maybe it could a more general option to set elements as hidden, so they are also not visible in vaults until one switches "unhide" toggle.

Windows credential manager secrets --> proton pass
A direct, end-to-end way to migrate Web and Windows user credentials from the Windows Credential Manager (WCM) into Proton Pass is a practical and secure approach.
A system that bypasses these intermediaries requires a secure pipeline that extracts, translates, and cryptographically encapsulates the data locally before injecting it into the Proton Pass ecosystem.
Windows Credential Manager distinguishes between Generic credentials (where passwords are retrievable via the Win32 CredEnumerate/CredRead API by the owning user) and Domain/Web credentials (where passwords are often opaque even to the owning user through the API).
To programmatically extract these credentials without a third-party application, the system…
