Command Line Interface / CLI
1Password has a very nice CLI for use in the shell that would be a great feature for you to support, too.

Importing of more data-types from 1Password
You need to support more types of data-import from 1Password, such as software licenses, etc.
I would love to switch to Proton Pass and forget about 1Password (I have used the latter since the day it was released) but this restriction noted above is a deal killer.20 votes -

Click to Copy Website addresses or a Copy button
Currently the only way to copy a website address from the desktop app is to edit the entry, highlight, and copy. Clicking on the website launches your default browser.

Passkeys + Safari Extension (MacOS)
Firefox + Proton Pass Extension - Passkeys work wonderfully
Chrome + Proton Pass Extension - Passkeys work flawlessly
Safari + Proton Pass Extension - Please scan this QR code on a device that has the Passkey🫤
This is repeatable, happens on every website where I have a passkey saved, and is just really, incredibly annoying. Is there an ETA on when the Safari extension can use Passkeys like the Firefox and Chrome extensions?

Login: Option to choose username or email in login fill selection dialog
There is a problem right here in uservoice, the firefox Pass extension detects the field as a username, but the website requires an email address.
Maybe I'm missing something but the only way to get around this is the manual approach of going inside the PASS extension or webapp, navigating to the specific Login entry, copying the appropriate field value there, and manually pasting it into the website's textbox.
It may be an extension bug, a misdetection or rather a misconfiguration of the website, in that case it may be nothing else Proton could do other than to appeal to…

disable autofill per vault
Disable autofill per vault
This would allow to store customers/friends/etc. credentials without having Proton to list them in autofill.

Secrets Management
Similar to Bitwarden Secrets Manager, HashiCorp Vault, etc. this would be a great feature for businesses.
There should at least be an event log, an improved permission system, a CLI & SDKs.

Password folders
Set up the ability to separate a vault into folders.
Would also be great if folders could be imported from different password managers.21 votes -

Support HOTP counter-based 2FA codes
So this is a little niche, but my organization uses Duo Mobile for 2FA. I figured out how to strip the token out from the QR code, so I can use it elsewhere... but it's not a time-based token, it's counter-based. I was able to use it with my YubiKey so I now have a backup to the Duo app, but apparently I can't use it with Proton.

Custom Autofill Management in Proton Pass:
Enhancing the autofill functionality in Proton Pass by allowing users to edit, view, and copy items, including custom fields, seamlessly from any application or website would be a fantastic addition.

Make credit cards easier to access in the app
Currently, credit cards are simply another record within your hundreds/thousands of passwords, and to access them, you need to apply a filter.
I have come from Keeper, where payment details have a distinct section and are easily reached from desktop, Chrome, or Android apps.
Proton pass forcing you to filter for credit cards is poor UX design.

generator history
It will be great to add a history menu in the password generator.
Bitwarden has the same and it would great if PP has the same.3 votes -
Emails viewable in Proton Pass account
some sites send a code to your email to access the account.
Then you have to open your email to retrieve the code.
Would it be possible to have an email field in each account in PP, which would display emails from that account.
Say you're logging into Netflix, you have Proton Pass opened, copying your PW to login. Netflix says a code was emailed.
In proton pass, of your Netflix login info, that email would popup.
Basically any email you received from account x Would also be viewable in PP in account x
Would anyone find this beneficial?

Tags in Proton Pass
Please provide the ability to apply tags (or labels) to any entry in Proton Pass. The construct of vaults is useful for separately general categories (e.g.: personal, work) but within a large category there are many sub categories where vaults are not the solution. Consider: You have a family and you manage accounts for your children. You can create a FAMILY vault and then tag each entry with each of your children's names. You could create separate vaults for each but then you are hopping back and forth between vaults too often. With the ability to tag entries you can…

Add a 'context menu' item for Proton Pass the way that is available in LastPass.
Too often I encounter websites that, for some reason, Proton Pass does not auto-populate. I would like a 'context menu' item like Last Pass has that will detect the website and allow me to select the username and password. Just as a note, this very problem occurred when submitting this request and the email and password field did not offer a Proton Pass entry and I was forced to open the browser extension, filter on my Proton account and individually copy and past the username and password. A context menu would solve this problem.

Categories with nested sub levels
Allow nesting to better organize the info. I'm using Datavault and the top level is Category with Type under that and Items under that.
So for my Category of "Financial" I have "Bank Accounts, Credit Cards, Brokerage, etc..".. Then under "Bank Accounts" are all of my accounts with account info, login, PIN, contact info, etc...
That makes it so much easier to find things that belong together. I suppose I could create titles like "Financial/Bank Accounts", but that's a bit awkward and I would still have to view through a list instead of a category to quickly find what I…5 votes
