FIDO2 Certification
There's a growing number of websites that only allow FIDO2 compliant passkey providers. Would be nice, if Proton would adapt this licence or at least give the user a choice when creating passkeys between it's passkey system and FIDO2 compliant one.

Improving Android/One UI Integration
To compete with system-integrated solutions like Google Password Manager or Samsung Pass, Proton Pass needs to move beyond being "just an app" and become a deeply integrated system component. I propose the following technical improvements to achieve a seamless, high-performance experience on Android and One UI:
Full Credential Manager API Optimization: Instead of relying on legacy autofill overlays, Proton Pass should perfectly implement the Android 14+ Credential Manager API. This ensures that login prompts appear as native system bottom sheets. Specifically, the "gray square" icon bug on Samsung devices must be fixed to ensure a professional, native look.

Handle wildcard in url mapping
Could it be possible in the future to handle wildcard in url mapping ?
As a web developer, i'm using dev environments, so urls are something like https://mywebsite-pr-*.fr/. Currently, it doesn't recognize url and doesn't propose me to autofill password.
Manually search then copy the credentials is kind of cumbersome. Thanks for your time reading !

Support for ARM-based Microsoft Windows / Devices
With the growing support for Windows on ARM and my use of a Snapdragon X Elite laptop, I was wondering if there are any plans to release a native ARM-compatible version of Proton Pass for Windows. I'd love to know if this is on the roadmap.

Ignore Microsoft Authenticator "passwords" (Android)
I cannot avoid using Microsoft Authenticator for work.
But whenever I use it to enter a one-time code, Proton Pass pops up and offers to save the "password".
This is where the online service will pop up a two-digit number, and then the authenticator asks you to type the same number. And then unlock with biometrics. And then let you into thAe online service.
It would be slightly less annoying if Proton Pass could just ignore it.

Emergency access - allow non-proton accounts
My emergency contact doesn't have a proton account nor do I think we should force them to have one. This feature is therefore useless to me.
In an emergency, the last thing I want my contact doing is having to remember how to log in to a service they never use. This should be a genuinely useful feature, and I hope not a feature to leverage obtaining new users.

Trusted Recovery Support for Fraud Victims
I’m truly pleased to share my experience and introduce the services of JIMRECOVERY TEAM, a notable and highly dedicated crypto recovery company that recently helped me reclaim my stolen digital assets. Just a few days ago, I unfortunately fell victim to a sophisticated crypto investment scam that left me feeling devastated, frustrated, and almost hopeless about ever recovering my funds.
Like many others in similar situations, I initially believed that once crypto assets are stolen, they are gone forever. The decentralized nature of cryptocurrency makes recovery extremely difficult, and countless victims are left without any real solutions. However, my perspective…3 votes -
to obscure the “Note” field
I would like to suggest a feature for Proton Pass.
The suggestion is to add the option to obscure the “Note” field with a button similar to the “Hide/Show” button in the ‘Password’ field, in addition to the option to start with the “Note” field obscured.
Thank you.

Unlock the Proton Pass extension with Windows Hello; a PIN code isn't secure enough.

KeePass .kdbx Import
Allow Proton Pass import from kdbx instead of just XML. The protocol is open and it allows to transfer the attachments and maybe also the OTP.
A migration from KDBX to Proton Pass means in my case for example to check more than 700 entries and to update them manually.5 votes -
DropBox Passwords needs an import
DropBox is removing their otherwise simple and awesome password feature. I suspect the simplicity I love is the reason they have decided to let other solutions provide that particular feature.
On Oct 8, 2025, all passwords will be gone. As we approach, more and more people are going to look for an easy way to transfer their stuff. It would be good marketing to announce that you are here to help.
The CSV import feature failed - it wondered about field names. Looking online, I didn't find any description of what the CSV import could do or what features it…

Support pkpass
Adding support for pkpass files in Proton Pass would allow users to store and manage their passes (such as boarding passes, loyalty cards, and event tickets) directly within Proton Pass. This would provide a single, secure location for all important passes and tickets, enhancing both convenience and security. Additionally, it would make Proton Pass more versatile and useful in everyday scenarios.

In Password use different colors for special characters, numbers, alphabetic characters.
Bitwarden has a very nice feature that shows special characters, numbers, and alphanumeric characters with different colours. This is great since allow the user to spot the correct characters quite easily.
Bitwarden uses the following convention:
* Alphabetic characters = white
* Numbers = magenta
* Special Characters = Red4 votes -
Improve the Accuracy for the Weak Password Detection.
According to Proton Pass, this password is weak: !C2&e3D%BNaeyP
According to Hive Systems, Security.org, Kaspersky, Nord Pass, and Bit Warden, it is considered very secure.
If you generate a password within Proton Pass using symbols, letters, etc. with 14 characters, it considers that password secure, meaning that Proton Pass has a bias for its own generated passwords.
Side Note: The password used in this example was generated by Nord Pass.134 votes -
Second Login
It would be great if Proton Pass allowed users to store not only a PIN or password as a second password, but also a security key such as Yubikey.

Force passkey interception
Now, if proton pass is lock, proton extension will not catch the passkey request.
I see someone ask for no interception at all
I think the default behavior is important (catch if proton is unlocked, else let OS manage)
But add a 3rd option to always catch passkey and prompt to unlock the extension11 votes -
Two Passwords to Avoid the Hammer Attack Scenario
I would like to see the option in Proton Pass to use "either" of two passwords.
If you use password #1 Proton Pass would work as it usually does.
If you use Password #2, Proton Pass would only display certain records that have been tagged by the user.
The purpose of this would be to help prevent a successful "Wrench Attack".
If threatened physically to log into your account, you could use password #2 and minimize the loss of your data.
This would be similar to methods used on some crypto wallets. Here's an article on Wrench Attacks for reference.

Password‑Change Reminder
It would be very useful if Proton Pass could include a built‑in reminder that notifies users to change a password after a custom interval.
• Adjustable interval: Users set the number of days/weeks/months before they receive a reminder.
• Filterable view: As with all stored entries, the passwords subject to reminders can be filtered by category, tags, or expiration date.

Domain URL matching rules
Proton pass should have URL matching rules like bitwarden. This makes it easier to handle different usecases.
For instance, at work I have different usernames/passwords on different subdomains and I would like to be able to limit certain credentials to specific subdomains and have others shared accross multiple subdomains. So that would be great to have a diffrent matching rules like:
- root domain
- hostname
- starts with
- regex
- exact match
