  2. Support BitcoinCash

I currently use Mullvad, a VPN that accepts three cryptocurrencies; Bitcoin, Monero, and BitcoinCash.

My proposal suggests adding XMR and BCH to both Proton Wallet and the accepted payment methods for Protonmail.

Both of these currencies are extremely reliable, basically free to use, and easily made private with one being opt-in. BTC doesn't have any of these qualities in any shape or form without losing custody or experiencing extreme friction.

Be more like Mullvad, or simply be smart. What use is a wallet if you can't transact?

  3. Post mortem legacy

Given the amount of money that can be stored in the wallets, the capability to nominate people with the right to access a wallet would be interesting.
Digital Wealth transmission is not anticipated and there shall be a way, in a legal procedure, to secure the transmission to inheritants.

For example, in Interactive Brokers platform, that type of functionality is fully endorsed, and I can name as many people as I want to be given access to my assets.

  5. Support Cardano

    Please add support for Cardano.
+ Adding support for resolving ADAHandles would be very helpful for transaction. ADAHandles is working on supporting other blockchain addresses as well, so this could potentially be a tertiary benefit in the future.

  7. Use ProtonWallet for Mobile Ticketing

Since COVID, almost every ticketed event has transitioned to mobile ticketing, tied to either Apple Pay or Google Wallet. Graphene OS allows me to run Google Waller more securely than stock Android, but I'd love it if sporting events, concerts, boarding passes, movies, etc could be handled by Proton instead.

  12. Conversion to stablecoins

For now, Proton Wallet is a "nice to have" for crypto owners but it can't replace most of the tools. In order to make it a "must have" we need at least to be able to convert bitcoin to other crypto (especially to stablecoins) and sell crypto.

  14. Crypto Mixer Built In

By its very nature, Bitcoin and most other crypto transactions are public and can be traced back fairly easily. Frankly, there are many, many wallets out there already and I don't see a reason for Proton to get in on that and dilute resources.
HOWEVER, Proton could make its Wallet truly outstanding by adding a mixer feature, similar to Tornado or Ergo. I realize this could potentially open legal implications but Proton crew is clever and can probably figure out a way around this.
Otherwise I don't really understand why Wallet even exists. It does nothing most other crypto wallets…

  15. Price change alerts

As part of the Proton ecosystem and as it is already based on emails, why not sending a notification email according to price changes (alerts or watchers) customized by the user, if the price is above/below a number, if the price change above/belove some precentage in 24h/48h/1week, if the difficulty changed a percentage in last 24h/48h, etc.
Also add Android/iOS notifications, and desktop notifications for browser and future desktop program

  16. GNU Taler support

GNU Taler is an open source payment system that allows users to make private payments using a compatible app. I suggest Proton consider adding Taler support to Proton Wallet as it would enable fiat currency payments in a way that would draw less scrutiny from regulators.

  17. Monero is the leading cryptocurrency focused on private and censorship-resistant transactions.

Could you guys please do something similar to Monero crypto. Monero transactions are confidential and untraceable.

Unlike selectively transparent alternatives (e.g. Zcash), Monero is the only major cryptocurrency where every user is anonymous by default. The sender, receiver, and amount of every single transaction are hidden through the use of three important technologies: Stealth Addresses, Ring Signatures, and RingCT.

Because every transaction is private, Monero cannot be traced. This makes it a true, fungible currency. Merchants and individuals accepting Monero do not need to worry about blacklisted or tainted coins.

Monero is electronic cash that allows fast, inexpensive payments to…

  18. At Least Add Something Useful

Give me a normal wallet application, one that can fufill all the tasks Google wallet currently does, where I can use my existing cards, with a digital identity option for states and countries that support it.

If there's going to be crypto then I'm totally ok with that, make it the best **** crypto wallet ever, but for those of us who don't use it, provide some value, like the basic functionality we would expect from a wallet.

  19. Fiat-backed Stablecoins

Supported by and easily transferred across all major blockchains. Practical, everyday use cases. Lends itself to enabling a fiat wallet as well. Yes, USDT overshadows USDC as a percentage of global stablecoin 'volume', but USDT has its issues. Long term, it seems USDC, or a new entrant, emerges, but so long as Proton can avoid issues making USDT available (in addition to USDC, and perhaps one or two others), USDC + USDT + fiat seems useful for the broadest audience.
