1. Provide Adjustable Restriction How Far In Advance Meetings May Be Scheduled

Currently using freebusy.io to allow my clients and prospects to schedule meetings with me. One helpful feature is that clients and prospects may not schedule any meeting with more than X days in advance (currently set to 30 days).

This feature benefits me personally by giving me more control of my availability, and benefits clients and prospects who mistakenly select the wrong month/year father in advance than what they intended.

   Thanks for considering this.

3. Include an option for Uncompressed Sound sharing (like Original Sound in Zoom)

In Zoom there's a toggle for meeting organisers to turn on "Original Sound for Musicians", this disables sound compression and noise cancelling and allows the attendees to listen to the sound being shared without any distortion or compression.
This is essential if sharing music as low frequencies get disabled by the compression algorithm.

4. Local Volume Mixer for incoming participant audio (volume boost)

Please can a volume mixer/booster be added so you can individually adjust the incoming volume of participants in the call. Quite often some people are just too quiet and there’s one person that stands out. Discord has a feature where on an individual participant basis you can increase/boost the volume to 200% or reduce down to 0%.

5. Restrict access to meeting rooms by proton user ID and add a chat-only feature

   Feature Requests for Proton Meet

Access-Controlled Meeting Rooms: Please add the ability to create meeting rooms with access controls that allow only specific Proton users to join. Currently, anyone with the meeting link can enter, which limits the ability to host private, invite-only sessions within a trusted group.
Contacts List: Please add a contact list where we can save the Proton users we interact with frequently from where we can choose which users can join a meeting. This would streamline the process of inviting participants and eliminate the need to manually send invites some other way.

Standalone Chat with File Sharing with other proton users: Once a contacts list exists, it would be extremely useful to have a standalone chat feature that allows us to share meeting room IDs and file attachments without needing to start a meeting. This would enable quick, asynchronous communication between trusted contacts without the overhead of a live call.

   Thank you!

6. Automatically/Default/Remember to Hide Self-View

My default viewing preference is to hide my self-view when having a 1:1 meeting. Currently, after joining every Proton Meet call (often while conversing with a client), I have to click Settings > Hide Self-View.

Often, if the client is new to Proton Meet, I get to do this while also verbally walking them through how to do this process too.

It'd be great if Proton Meet could "remember" what my "hide self-view" settings were in my previous call.

   Thanks!

8. On a portrait monitor the video tiles will be vertical instead of horizontal

Allow re-sizing or reshaping or improve the automatic algorithim for adjusting video tiles, on a vertical monitor it goes lengthwise unless there's a picture being shared so it becomes horizontal stack style.

9. Enable/disable specific webcams

Allow the showing and hiding of specific webcams. Lets say there are two main speaker, let me hide all the other users and only show those two (three four etc) webcams. This is similar to focusing just a single speaker.

11. Enable System Audio Sharing During Screen Sharing in Proton Meet

Currently, when sharing a browser tab or window in Proton Meet on Firefox, there is no option to transmit the associated audio alongside the video feed. Users can share screen visuals only, forcing workarounds like virtual audio cables or OBS routing that introduce complexity, latency, and potential points of failure.

Proposed Feature: Implement native audio capture during screen sharing so users can optionally enable "Share audio" checkboxes (similar to Google Meet, Zoom, and Teams) when selecting a tab/window/screen.

    Technical Context & Rationale

    Modern browsers handle this differently:

Chrome/Edge (Chromium): Expose tab-capture APIs (getDisplayMedia with audio: true) allowing single-tab audio injection
Firefox (Gecko): Lacks this built-in capability, requiring manual routing via PipeWire on Linux or VB-Cable/Voicemeeter on Windows

Regardless of which rendering engine Proton Meet serves from, the service could abstract this limitation by:
    Approach Implementation Difficulty Expected Impact
WebRTC MediaStream Capture API support Low-Medium High (works across supported browsers)
Optional companion desktop app module with system audio hook Medium Very High (full OS-level integration)
Browser extension helper for advanced audio routing Low Medium (opt-in enhancement)

Even partial improvement—allowing entire screen + system audio—would resolve the majority of use cases without needing Chromium-specific tab isolation.
    User Scenarios Enabled

Presenters sharing multimedia content: Video walkthroughs, tutorials with narration, embedded media clips
Remote educators: Playing instructional videos where synchronized audio is critical
Developers debugging live systems: Streaming application behavior with real-time sound output
Family/gifted content viewing: Watching shared movies or presentations together

Without audio pairing, these activities require participants to join secondary channels (phone call, Discord bridge, etc.), fragmenting collaboration.
    Benefits to Proton

Competitive parity with mainstream conferencing tools
Premium-tier attractiveness for Business customers evaluating migration
Reduced support burden addressing frequently-reported UX friction
Cross-platform consistency regardless of attendee browser choice

    Suggested Implementation Priority

Phase 1 (Quick Win): Enable whole-screen + system audio on all platforms
Phase 2 (Targeted): Add per-tab audio selection for Chromium-based browsers
Phase 3 (Advanced): Desktop client provides unified cross-browser solution

12. Please allow for selection of host mail adress

For now my standard mail address is always selected es standard when creating a meeting within meet app on windows or within calendar.

Having multiple aliases for specific use cases a selection is a must for I won't use my private address for business cases or vice versa.

To be clear: I am not talking about simple login / Pass pseudonyms but about addresses I created in Mail.

14. Adjusting audio quality (more below)

The same microphones I use for other platforms aren't being picked up as readily on Proton Meet (web browser). When I first speak, the green bar on the platform's microphone doesn't show, as if my voice isn't reaching the microphone at all, then it starts showing but drops as I speak. When I asked the other participant if she could hear me clearly, she says when I start speaking, my voice is very low then rises to a normal volume before it fades in and out as I speak.

    Notes:

    1) From my side, the green bar on the microphone initially doesn't exist until they can hear me. When it fades in and out, I do see the microphone bar at a midpoint even when I speak uniformly at the same volume.
    2) This happens from my side only (the host). The other participant's voice is always conveniently audible.
    3) This happened with different participants at different times and internet networks.
    4) I removed the "noise cancellation" option, thinking it might be working a bit too strong, but the result was the same.
    5) This issue persists on the web version, but I don't intend on downloading the app (where this issue might not be present) because I find the web version far more flexible (It's one of the reasons why I previously switched from Zoom to Google Meet and find it such a relief Proton Meet has such a similar interface and style to Google Meet.).

    Thank you!!

16. Have options to manage the time a meeting times out when only one person is present

I'm a psychologist and I meet with clients using this software. Sometimes people have problems with their invite links or their hardware and it takes a few minutes for them to manage to get into the session. Proton Meet wants to end and shut down the session when I've been alone for some minutes (not sure how long) but please allow me to lengthen this time, as it would create a lot of trouble for me and my clients if the meeting was abruptly ended without me noticing (cause at that moment I might be sending them another invite link) and I would have to create a new one. Besides this, I find the software easy to use for me and my clients :)

Please make it possible to mute all attendees in a meeting at once or to make meeting settings so that participants can't turn on audio.

When hosting a large meeting like a webinar or similar, this is crucial to keep out unwanted noise.
