    You have left! (?) (thinking…)
How important is this to you?

    I fully agree.

Conversation threading should indeed use the "In-Reply-To" header as aggregation key. Alternatively:
    1) folder/label should be added to subject and sender/recipient as grouping criteria
    2) we should be able to edit subjects (https://protonmail.uservoice.com/forums/284483-feedback/suggestions/34117900-ability-to-change-subject-of-received-mails)

Good point, I am transferring my votes.

    Agree!

All other providers make this distinction by default between main address (= account login) and alias addresses. It is a security feature (more precisely, not making this distinction is a security flaw).

Agree. Not sure why my previous comment was deleted, as I was just saying:
    1) it makes email much more usable (e.g. because subjects are searchable for instance)
    2) it is a feature seen elsewhere (hey.com)

    Agree!

Fixing "subjects" is a game changer in usability: whenever you get emails with generic subjects, you can edit them on the client side to make sense for you (without changing the subject for other people, i.e. the subject field in the email thread is unchanged on the server side). It means you are also able to merge different threads into the same subject if they actually belong to the same conversation.

P.S. There is at least one other provider with this feature (https://hey.com/features/rename-subjects/).
