An error occurred while saving the comment HK commentedThis goes all way back to 2015. It has been almost 7 years since ProtonTeam first commented on it.
4 years after in 2019 it was flagged as planned.
Now almost 3 years later, it still hasn't been implemented.
It's the 5th highest voted feature.
Come on ProtonTeam. Contacts is an important thing, not just as an in-mail widget.HK supported this idea · -

An error occurred while saving the comment HK commentedI agree to Kristaps and James solution or something like it.
Just 1-2 per year or so would be great. I am stuck with used slots that won't ever be used again bc it was used as a company email (since it's not allowed to make more than 1 account).
It feels so dumb to pay for additional slots when some ain't used and be stuck with them.If people want temp mails, then there's other solutions to that. But for legit users whom has a legit reason to make addresses but then later on have no need for them for several legit reasons, then it's just dumb that they can't be deleted to free up new slots.

An error occurred while saving the comment HK commentedInstead of "archive" it should be able to choose "mark as read".
I don't know how many is using the "archive" feature, but I do think that "read" would be more used. Or else make it possible to customize what you want :)
"Archive, Trash, Reply" would be great if it was "Read, Trash, Reply".
And maybe if customizable then "mark as spam (spam)" would also be a suggestion to add.
As the topic says, it would be nice if contacts wasn't just a widget but an app itself. This is aligned with: https://protonmail.uservoice.com/forums/284483-protonmail/suggestions/32521357-sync-contacts-with-phone-address-book
A "stand-alone" app that can be synced with the device contacts and globally integrated with ProtonMail, ProtonCalendar and ProtonDrive.
