    +1. Privacy and anonymity are two distinct concepts. Profile pictures may disturb anonymity, but do not compromise privacy. The ability to add profile pictures is critical for a modern email provider and does not go against Proton's mission.

    I'm in favour of this feature.
    An important distinction to make, however, is that contacts' birthdays should not *automatically* appear in Calendar, of course.
    There should be an option to export birthdays to Calendar.
    For example, when creating (or updating) a contact and setting a birthday, an off-by-default checkbox with a prompt such as "Create Calendar entry for this birthday?" could appear.
