This functionality appears to already exist in the Android app: in any folder, once I select any message, an options bar appears at the bottom of the screen to mark as read/unread, delete, move to folder, add a label, and under the elipsis menu, apply a star, archive, or move to spam.

I actually appreciate having the notfication persist on my phone even though it's been read on my PC: my wife checks the account too and she may have read something that I have not. I suggest having the option to sync them or not as the user chooses.

I was actually quite surprised when I discovered I could do nothing with an Excel (xlsm) file sent to me: I couldn't open it--without using MS Office 365 (which I don't want to do) --and I couldn't even save it to the phone (to then open in some other app). So far I've not been able to figure out if I can force the phone to use some other app (e.g., WPS Office Lite) to view the xlsm file.
