    This is very important to me too, though in my case I want to use it to sync my Joplin Notes, though I can connect the app to OneDrive, I'd rather not directly connect apps to any cloud service. OneDrive gives you no control over what folders an app can access, unlike when you share a folder link with a friend. I was hoping Proton Drive might have an option to add a local folder that I have access to on my phone.

    I do understand from a security perspective why cloud services will bury the folders in the root of the phone somewhere, but it should be something that the consumer decides, I am tired of having companies decide I need some kind of nanny for security.
