I want Proton Pass to be a standalone app with standalone login system.

By virtue of its function, Pass cannot be part of a suite with other Proton products, because it IS the gateway to all the said products.

For example, maybe you can give Pass its own login system, and then require users to use Pass to login to the remaining Proton products.

At some point, you need to find a way to not put all the eggs in same basket, otherwise the risk is too high.

As per the Spring/Summer Roadmap, this is being developed: https://proton.me/blog/pass-roadmap-spring-summer-2026

Folders will be a significant building block for Proton Pass that will go beyond just helping you organize your items. Introducing folders will require some rethinking of our cryptography model, which we’re currently working on. Eventually, you’ll also be able to share folders and subfolders just like your vaults and individual items, giving you another flexible way to share access.

Folders will be available in the coming months. As well as creating vaults, you’ll be able to create dedicated folders and subfolders to organize crucial information for quick retrieval: you can organize by project, by team, by year, or whatever else you need.

    Great idea.

I imagine the "Vault" tab could be separated into three sections:

    1. Detected: The login that matches the current webpage is automatically displayed on the top.

    2. Folders: Users can create folders, drag logins into the folders, and collapse / retract them at will.

    3. Logins: The remaining logins that are not sorted into folders are displayed at bottom section (sorted by name or some other method).
