It would be great to bring the Proton Calendar widget's appearance into this decade – it currently feels a bit outdated, with only black or white background options. I’d love to see more flexibility and visual polish. It would be awesome if:

There were transparent or semi-transparent background options for a cleaner, more modern look.

Users could remove the calendar color sidebar that appears next to each event.

We could customize the text color, or let events inherit text color based on the calendar they belong to (e.g. Calendar A = blue, Calendar B = green).

I’d also really love to see two separate widget types:

A calendar view widget that shows 1 week, 2 weeks, or a full month in a date grid format – with a simple one-line header showing the current month.

An agenda view widget with upcoming events – also with a one-line header showing today’s weekday and date.

For reference, something like the Event Flow widget is a great and stylish example:

Right now, the current widget doesn’t really blend in on the home screen – it just sits there as a big black or white block. A more flexible design would make it far more usable and attractive.

Thanks for considering – I think many users would love the added flexibility!

YES absolutely, this would be amazing! A to-do list with checklists would help everyone stay organized and track tasks. It would also benefit people with ADHD and autism, as checklists help ADHDers and support autistic individuals in managing ‘next steps.’ Each calendar entry should have a checklist directly under the description to add and check off items.
