DISABILITY / ACCESSIBILITY ALERT !
The capacity to compose and read emails in stand-alone 'windows' is CRUCIAL for me as a person whose disabilities place constraints on computer use. Often I absolutely must to be able to enlarge the text on email programs. And to focus, I often want to block out background 'noise' on a computer screen, too. By the time that I enlarge the font size for the sake of readability within ProtonMail, I can only see about two or three lines of text. Yet I can still see all the regular 'controls' for ProtonMail.I will try the workaround suggested by 'Beth' about ten days ago.
Wish me luck, please and thank you.
And PLEASE 'action' this request as a matter of human rights for persons with disabilities similar to mine.

Update, after following the instructions for a workaround from @Beth.
- YES in Windows11/MS-Edge, I have been able to create a 'new window' in which to write an email, by following the instructions for a workaround posted by @Beth (with thanks)
- NO, I cannot expand the size of the new email window to cover the entire screen and block out ProtonMail in the 'background' (here, a 15" laptop) -- so not enough space for me to write a longer email, not to mention a distractions such as multi-colour scheme and controls that cannot be used while typing
- The workaround posted by @Beth did not work for me in Mozilla/Firefox ('Focus' as well as 'regular' mode), nor in Google/Chrome ('Incognito' as well as 'regular' mode)
Please let me know if there is a way to increase the amount of available space for emails by hiding the menu at the bottom of an email 'window' for font size, etc.
WITH THANKS.
