    Its beond me hwo this is not a feature, exept that they want to bind new people into thier ecosystem.

    But there is a workaround! To qote another comment:
    Presently, in order to create a share link for an album of photos, a user needs to:
    1. Download the photos from Photos
    2. Re-upload the photos to a folder in My Files
    3. Create a share link for the new folder in My Files, which simply duplicates content that was already in Photos.

    I have marked this as Critical because it's such an obviously needed core feature in Drive.
